Batman: Knight of Vengeance - The Final Chapter

Part XI - Turn-Around

Rose raises her sword up to block an overhand hit from Bane, struggling to match the strength of the giant man. She looks up and glares at him before pulling her small sidearm from her belt, shooting at his feet. Bane roars before punching Rose away, causing her to land on her back and knock the wind out of her.

Meanwhile Cole was trying his best to provide support, firing as many rounds as he had to spare to try and weaken Bane. He wanted the bastard dead and the body left to rot at the bottom of the ocean. He stood in front of Bane after he punched Rose away, pulling off his mask for the man to see.

"Look at me you piece of shit. I want this face to be the last one you see." Cole says as his teeth grind.

"You humble me by giving me a look at the man I am about to kill. I find it honorable to know who you are serving death to." Bane replies with a smug smirk on his face.

The two run towards each other as Cole pulls out his combat knife and leaps up, grabbing onto the man's head and starting to slash away at his Venom tubes all while screaming at the top of his lungs. Bane runs forward and drives right into a wall, causing Cole to grunt as he feels crushed between the two bodies. He drops down and watches Bane step on his foot before pushing down, causing it to crack.

"An admirable man fights when he knows there is no chance. I will remember you."

"Remember us instead."

Bane turns around to see Harper and Rose standing there, as Rose grabs Harper's hand and swings her around to kick Bane right in the face. Rose runs up after letting go of Harper's hand, sending the Batgirl into the air, as she runs forward and jams her sword into his side, causing him to cry out in pain. Harper follows up with a quick shot to his arm, dropping down next to Rose and helping her push the sword in deeper.

Cole waves the two away as he just starts hooking Bane's jaw left and right, causing the formerly powerful man to stagger at each hit before dropping down to his knees in front of Cole. He still has that giant smirk on his face, always loving a good fight even when he's on the losing side.

"See you in hell, Cole Cash."

Cole grabs his knife again and jams it down into Bane's heart, breaking his just like Bane broke Cole's by killing Julia those many months ago. He screams out in agony afterwards, getting the last bit of rage out before looking up at the sky, blowing a kiss up there.

"Hope you enjoyed that show sweetie..."

Rose walks up and puts a hand on Cole's shoulder, looking into his eyes. "Hey, Cash, look at me. You alright?"

"Yeah Rose I'll be fine."

"Alright. If you're sure then we'll push ahead."

"Where else is there to go?" Harper says as she stands next to the two.

"We'll catch up with the boss. He should have met up with Wonder Woman now, let me just check the trackers to see where he is."

Rose steps aside for a second as she starts to check her gauntlet display, scratching her head for a moment before turning back to Harper and Cole.

"Odd, he's at Wayne Manor. Must've been chasing a lead or something. Come on let's get up there."

The three start to run in the direction of Wayne Manor just as suddenly the explosion from Wonder Woman and Fury smacking their gauntlets is seen in the distance as they all look on in horror, exchanging glances before instantly moving to the nearest car and attempting to hijack it.

"What was that? That wasn't like any explosion I've seen before." Cole says as he starts hotwiring the car.

"I don't give a shit just get this car moving and drive!"

The car suddenly hums to life as Cole puts it in gear and they scream down the streets towards Wayne Manor.
