I snored lowly as I felt someone softly run there fingers through my hair. I turned over in my sleep as my eyes fluttered open seeing Rico look at me.

"Hi" I smiled softly.

"How you sleep?" He ran his finger down my jawline.

"Good. Why you so touchy this morning?" I sat up.

"I like how yo skin feel" He shrugged.

"What it feel like when you touch it?" I asked.

"Real soft" He said as I nodded.

"Watchu got going on today?" He asked.

"Gotta go pick up Autumn and start facing reality again" I sighed.

He handed me a plastic cup that had my 4 prescribed pills making me look at him. He shoved it in my face as I sighed pouring them in my mouth. I grabbed the cold water bottle from him swallowing them before I opened my mouth letting him see.

"Thank you" He set down the water bottle.

A knock came on the door making him kiss his teeth. It's been two days since Rico's younger sister was forced to stay here until his mom came back for her. He's been more mean then usual since she's been here and it honestly wasn't fair to her, she didn't ask for this.

"Who is it?" He asked.

"You know who it is stop being stupid" I frowned.

"I-it's Raquel" She said barely above a whisper.

"Watchu want?" He called out.

"Be nice" I frowned hitting his arm.

She opened the door slowly walking in making Rico kiss his teeth.

"I ain't say you could come in" He spat.

"Rico" I stared at him. He looked at me before he kissed his teeth.

"Wassup Raquel?" He asked.

"Ion mean you to bother you but could you take me to get something to eat? It's nothing in here and I haven't ate in two days" She said.

"Yo mama ain't leave you no money?" He sighed.

"No she was inna hurry" She shrugged.

"I told that fucking lady all I was gon do is let her lay her head somewhere" He gritted.

"Why don't you go freshen up and we can go get some lunch" I smiled at her.

"Okay" She nodded before she left out.

"The fuck you doing?" He frowned.

"That's your sister right there. She didn't ask for any of this so you needa chill on her. If anything you should try to get to know her before your mother comes back" I fussed.

"I could care less about her if I'm being honest Esme. Ion care to get to know her cuz as soon as her mama come back we ain't gon ever speak again" He shrugged.

"You so heartless" I mugged him.

"I'm not heartless I just don't like to waste my time on meaningless shit"

"Can you at least try to make her feel welcomed while she's here? She's young and scared we should be tryna make her feel as comfortable as possible" I pleaded.
