"Esme"

I shot my eyes open seeing Sorrel standing over me mugging me.

"What?" I spat.

"This the third time he's come to the house demanding to speak to you. Look I know you don't wanna speak to him but this shit getting outta hand. Now he got my kids up crying. It's 4 in the morning and he banging on my door you need to talk to him and tell him to stop coming here cuz he ruining everybody sleep" She spat.

"Just tell him he isn't welcomed" I turned over on my side.

"I did that three times already. Obviously that shit ain't working cuz he back again!" She yelled.

I sighed sitting up.

"I gotta go put my son to sleep. Talk to him or you gon have to stay somewhere else Esme" She said before she left out the room.

I sighed getting outta bed. While I was still in Cali Sorrel has been letting me and Autumn stay here which I appreciated, but since I've been here Rico's been coming here every night demanding to talk to me. I had nothing to say to him I wish he could understand that. I looked at what I had on seeing I only had on a oversized t shirt and some grey calvin klein boy shorts. I popped a piece of gum in my mouth slipping on my ugg slides before I walked out the room going to the front door. I opened the door seeing Rico sitting on the porch smoking a blunt.

I cleared my throat grabbing his attention. He smiled standing up going in for a hug only for me to push him off.

"What are you doing here Rico? It's 4 in the morning people tryna sleep" I spat.

"I miss you. Why you acting like this?" He asked.

"What I said to you 5 years ago, I meant every word. You need to move on" I sighed.

"I've changed Esme. I wanna be able to share my new self with you but you being difficult" He spat.

"I believe you changed, I really do but I don't wanna try again with you. I leave for New York in two days anyway it just won't make sense" I shrugged.

"What are you doing in New York that you can't do here?" He spat.

"I don't have to explain anything to you" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Ion even know why I'm here" He chuckled.

"I don't know why you are either" I shrugged.

"You the one I changed for and now you wanna say you don't want shit to do with me? So what, I changed my ways for nothing?" He mugged me.

"I didn't ask you to change." I simply said.

"Yes you did! You leaving me told me I needed to do a life 360. I did this shit for you!" He yelled at me.
