"Amen" I said to myself before I looked up.
I watched Esme sleep peacefully as I held her hand before I kissed it.
"Please wake up" I pleaded.
I looked at my watch seeing it was 7:31am in the morning. I sighed standing up leaving the room to go use the bathroom. A nigga ain't get no sleep last night. I hated that me and Esme wasn't together. Everything she went through since I known her she never tried to kill herself so I just keep asking myself what triggered her to do even this?
I wanted answers.
After I used the bathroom I washed my hands walking back to the room. I furrowed my eyebrows seeing a bunch of doctors run towards a room. My eyes widened seeing it was the room Esme was staying in making me run towards the room.
I walked in seeing Esme who was now awake having a panic attack.
"Where am I?! Who are you people?!" She cried throwing a cup.
"Miss calm down please" The nurse tried to grab her hand but she snatched away.
"Where am I? What's going on?!" She cried.
"Who are you? Visiting hours aren't open until 9" A nurse frowned.
I ignored her walking up to Esme grabbing her hand.
"Esme" I said. She stopped moving looking at me.
"Who is Esme?" She asked making my eyes widen.
"Why can't she remember anything?!" I yelled at them.
"Sir she lost a lot of blood this can happen when-"
"NO! I prayed. She wasn't supposed to lose her memory" I yelled.
"Why are you yelling at me?" She cried harder.
I looked at her in shock seeing she really didn't know who I was. I looked up at the ceiling cursing under my breath.
"Sir you have to leave. Visiting hours-"
"I'm not going nowhere" I took a seat in the chair looking at Esme who continued to cry. "She needs me" I said.
"Sir."
"Esme" I said.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" She cried.
"That's your name. I need you to calm down so these doctors can help you ight?" I said.
"But why am I here?" She cried.
"I'll explain everything after you calm down ight?" I looked at her.
She looked at me for a few seconds before she nodded. "Okay" She sniffled.
