The ground beneath my feet was shifting and the tempo of my life sped up considerably in the last hour. I had the solution but not a very legal one and this will prove to be a the most stupid decision but isn't that the whole concept of love, it makes you do stupid things.

Wren was at the court house trying to get bail but both of us knew the influence Taylor's father had in the justice system and would fight us every step of the way. I didn't know what else to do but use my underground network. At this moment it was the most efficient solution I can see but that came at a huge risk. A risk I was willing to take.

I've measured the risk and reward and nothing compares to Evernly's safety and comfort, nothing. I know what I'm risking by using my contact to get her out. I'm risking my secret identity, I'm risking this being traced back to me and Eve and I'm risking the whole cartel but I don't care. Whatever comes next I'm willing to face.

I stepped out of the elevator and walked inside the penthouse feeling powerless. I've only felt powerless a few times in all my manhood, first when Eve lost our baby and when she left me.

My hands couldn't stop shaking out of fury and all the rage pent out in me. I turned and pushed the sofa in the living room screaming out of anger. I shouldn't have asked Jane to take care of the Taylor situation, I should've handled it myself. We wouldn't be here if I did.

My phone vibrated in my pocket and I quickly took it out.

"Did you find them?" I asked Tim.

"I did, I'm looking at them right now." He answered firmly.

"Forward the pictures to me." I told him and as I was about to hang up he called my name. "What?" I answered gruffly.

"Mr. Salvador called me." He told me hesitantly.

"Spit it out Tim, I don't have all day." I barked at him annoyed.

"He told me not to do this because the Business's resources aren't meant to be your playground to play house with your girl." I fumed when Tim told me.

How dare Salvador say something like this when I practically run the whole damn cartel while he whore around impregnating whores all over the country and I end up cleaning all his shit.

"Wife," I corrected Tim. Fuck Salvador. "She's my wife and if Salvador has a problem with what I'm doing, you can tell him to take it up with me. Now send the goddamn pictures if you know what's good for you."

I didn't wait for Tim to reply, I ended the call and went to my room and took a helmet then went to the parking lot underground. Only my bike will get me where I want to go that fast and evade the paparazzi in the process.

Two minutes later, I received the pictures just as the DA's office came to view. I didn't care if someone saw me. You could say that I wasn't thinking straight or I had lost my mind. I was risking a whole lot by coming here in brought daylight, not just my identity but the whole cartel as well but non of that matter as much as her.

I parked the bike and got off, running inside. Judge's Rodríguez's assistant was there and tried to stop me but I passed her pushing aside before she could do anything.

"I told you, don't let anyone in." Rodriguez yelled at his assistant without looking up from his case file.

"I heard her saying coming right in." I mused and immediately upon hearing my voice he froze and the file fell from his hands.
