Phone Lines Knocked Out

Across the continental United States, the frequency of alien attacks is increasing. With a spread of attacks across the midwest, phone lines are down throughout the majority of the region. This threatens infrastructure and safety.
Emergency services can no longer easily be reached, and communication networks being down threatens government and organization on several levels. It is not known when the communication networks can be restored.
A representative of the Governor's office explains the new dangers on page 7.
