Diplomatic Alliances Formed Over Alien Attacks

The recent alien attacks have devastated worldwide governments on every level. From the collapse of nearly every economy to political leaders killed, governing bodies suddenly have a lot more responsibility with far less resources.
Thus, a new alliance was formed, more akin to the European Union than to the United Nations. Called the "Multinational Defense and Recovery Alliance" (MDRA), this association of nations aims to assist all participating governments in both national defense and the eventual recovery and rebuilding through the sharing of resources.
The first big announcement is the collective flow of money into new defense technology, and more importantly, into speeding along that currently in development. As time is very much a concern, with rapidly increasing attacks across the globe, new technology can't come soon enough. More on this technology and the participating nations: page 6.
