Emilia's pov
It was now the day before the race and we were all helping luca get his last bit of training in before it and two humans began to come after us and luca goes a different way "where are we going?" Giulia asked him. Luca had a panicked look on his face "uh....a shortcut" he says "steeper ruffer terrain.....I like it, why aren't you training?" Giulia asked Alberto "he is always training" I say come across a little more mean then I meant to and we make it to the top of the hill. Then we got off "bravo luca, that was your fastest yet" Giulia says then a loud sound was heard "oh guys look, that's the train to genova" she says "that goes to your school?" Luca asked and I looked at him. Why would he even care about something like that "yea" Giulia says "is your school open to everyone?" Luca asked which took me totally off guard "well it cost a little money but I guess" she says "great, thank you Giulia for showing us the boring thing that takes us to the terrible place" Alberto says. We do need to focus on winning the race "now can we focus on what matters, if we lose this race we're not going anywhere" I say crossing my arms "santa mozzarella, the downhill" luca says "hey it'll be okay luca" I say softly "I know it looks scary but here's what you need to know...." Giulia says but Alberto buts in. I stood and watched this unfold "would you stop bossing him around" he says "what is your problem?" Giulia asked looking annoyed "I'm his friend, I know what he needs" Alberto says holding onto luca's shoulder "oh yeah? Well then what does he need?" Giulia asked. Okay this is gonna end badly I can tell "me, we'll just ride it like we did on the island together" Alberto says getting on the bike and pushing forward. Well that's not good "come Emilia hurry their gonna crash" Giulia yelled and we ran after the boys to see them go flying into the water "Boys!" I yelled looking over to railing "luca! Alberto!" Giulia yelled. I was a little worried "Let's go look" I say and we ran to this little beach bit to see them both and it looked like Alberto was about to punch luca "your alive!" Giulia yelled happily as we ran over to the boys and she hugged them both but they both look angry. Okay what happened between the two of them "hey your never allowed on my bike again, stick to food big guy" Giulia says ruffling Alberto's hair but her only growls at her then looked away. I walked over to Alberto "uh what's going on?" Giulia asked luca "nothing let's get back to training" Alberto says "Actually we have something to ask you, we were wondering if we could come with you to your school?" Luca asked and I was just in disbelief. I can't believe he is actually thinking about going "Santo pecorino! That's the best idea ever, yes of course!" Giulia says excitedly but I didn't wanna go to this school place and Alberto looks a little hurt. He sees that I and pretty the same expression as he does "uh Giulia your school does it except all kinds of people? I mean what if some of them were not human?" Alberto asked and I kinda get what he was doing but didn't stop it. Luca glares at him "Alberto..." he says in a low voice "what if some were oh I don't know, sea monsters?" Alberto asked and I walked closer to them "sea monsters?" Giulia says with a raised eye brow "I doubt your school would even accept sea monsters right?" I asked. Luca let out a nervous little chuckle "that's a weird joke you guys" luca says to the two of us "yea I know it's kinda hard to imagine so let us just show you" Alberto says as he takes my hand and we both jumped into the water. A few seconds later I hear Giulia scream and she jumped back as me and Alberto stood up showing with our sea monster form "help! Don't hurt us!" Giulia begged. Just like a typical human she thought we were gonna hurt her "see I knew this would...." Alberto says but what luca does next breaks my heart into pieces "sea monsters!" He yelled acting like he wasn't one himself. The tears roll down my cheeks quickly and I just swam away to the island as quick as I could seeing Alberto was close behind me "I can't believe he would do this!" I yelled upset "hey let's forget about him, we still have eachother right?" He says "of course" I say back to him.
