Chapter 11=The Portorosso cup

Emilia's pov
I wake up early and see Alberto was already awake "Okay we gotta sneak around so no one sees us" he says and I nodde, it was a lot easier then we thought to sneak back into town and we see that the swimming had already started. As we watched I see luca come out of the water in a diving suite and his fish face was almost seen but he tucks his head in just in time and gets to the pasta part and tried to eat but I see Giulia show him how to do it. Okay this is gonna end badly I think to myself as Luca finished and as he got to his bike he looked like he was gonna throw up but it was just a burp and he rides off "um there's a problem" Alberto says as he pointed the the grey clouds in the sky. Oh god no no no people will either see luca or he's gonna lose the race and I know he'll be disappointed if he does "we gotta help him somehow" I say as Alberto sees an old Umbrella and grabbed it "come let's go" he says and we ran up the way they'd be coming from. I see him under a shelter "luca!" Me and Alberto call out to him at the same time I see the smile on his face "stay right there we're coming for you" I say and see Ercole ride up next to him "what's wrong piccoletto? Afraid of a little rain?" I hear him say "hey get away from him!" I yell "for the last time you 3 don't belong here, get of my town!" Ercole yelled. He rides past me and Alberto and shoved us making Alberto drop the umbrella our sea monster forms were seen by everyone "sea monsters right there!" Ercole yelled and I Looked around at everyone's horrified faces. I am so scared right now "guys...." luca says and as he was about to ride out into the rain Alberto stopped him "no stop! Just stay there your still okay" he says and looked at me "together?" He asked and I nodded. We ran at Ercole "Andiamo!" Alberto yelled and as he sees a net get thrown at us he held onto me as we fell to the floor "no!" I hear luca yell but I was so sacred I was gonna die now and I hide face in Alberto's chest. After a few seconds I feel myself go flying and when I look to see what happened I see were on the bike with luca, Alberto had one arm around my waist while the other held onto luca "wow you really are crazy!" Alberto says  "learned it from you, let's get to the water!" Luca yelled as he kept riding. As we rode past kids they looked at as in surprise "hey there......excuse us" he says to them I look to see Ercole getting closer "guys he's catching up" I say panicked. As he threw a harpoon at us Alberto pulled us to the side but we end up going threw someone's house "sorry!" Luca says as we go flying out the window and we went down some stairs getting back on track unfortunately right next to Ercole. Okay I held onto Alberto tighter "you should've left when I told you, now I gotta kill some sea monsters!" He yelled at us and I cried not wanting to die "so long evil empire of injustice" I hear Giulia say then I see her run herself into Ercole and they both crash "Giulia!" I yelled and luca stopped to bike as we all get off and run back to Giulia. I just want her to be okay "Giulia are you okay?" I asked as the guys help her up "yeah yeah I'm.....I'm okay thanks guys" she says softly "thank god your okay" I say. Then we all see her dad coming closer "Giulietta?" He says in surprise "papà I......" Giulia clearly can't think of what to say and the crowd surrounded us "I saw them first! The reward is mine!" Ercole yelled as he busts threw the crowd "we're not afraid of you" luca says and I nodded in agreement as did Alberto. I stayed close to the guys "no but we're afraid of you, Everyone is horrified and disgusted by you because you are monsters" Ercole says and I held Alberto's hand " stop they are not monsters!" Giulia yelled "oh yeah who are they then?!" Ercole yelled as foot steps got closer behind us "I know who they are" Giulia's farther says "they luca,  Alberto & Emilia and they are......the winners" he says surprising everyone. Wait a second what "what?" Luca says "really?" Alberto says in just as much surprise as me "they can't be the winners they are not even people" Ercole says "signora marsigliese?" Mr Marcovaldo asked as everyone steps aside to show that the bike was past the white line "technically, legally yes they won" she says. Oh yes we won "who cares if they won? They are not even people" Ercole says trying to anyone to agree with him but they don't and the fisher men walk away with their nets and harpoons. This is so amazing luca, Alberto and Giulia take Ercole's harpoon and break it in half as Ercole tried to get his minnons to give him another one they end up throwing him into the fountain "it's over, the reign of terror it's fianlly over" Giulia says as two voiced called out for luca and it turns out to be his parents. They approach luca "you had us worried half to death and you must never do that again!" His mother says and as luca says sorry "and you raced you little tail off and kicked so much human butt! And I'm so proud of you and I'm so mad at you!" She says. I smiled as all three of them hug then Mrs Paguro looked at me "Emilia dear come here" she says softly and I walked over finally letting go of Alberto's hand "you may not be my daughter by blood but I still love you like you are my own" she says and I smiled "thanks i love you too........mum" I say. It has taken me so long to be able to say that and it felt good to "signore e signori, The winners of this year's the Portorosso Cup the underdogs" the lady says as she hand the trophy to luca. It was so amazing and a little girl cute wanted a high five from Alberto which he gave her "just when I didn't think you could get anymore adorable" I say with a smile and he smiles back.
