"Recovery"

Max woke up from his surgery sore and in pain

Max whined a bit

Chloe and Mackenzie were right by his side

"Hey sweetie. How are you feeling?" Chloe asked

"Abhorrent..." said max weakly

"Aww my poor baby..." said chloe give max a kiss to the snoot and petting his head

"Look on the bright side my boy! Your all better now! And you made it through perfectly fine!" Said Kenzie Chuckling giving the pup a kiss as well

Max smiled and fell asleep

The next day max was able to go home

Mackenzie carried the pup inside and set him down on their bed

"Aghh bed I missed you..." said max weakly with a smile

Chloe climbed into bed with him and draped the blanket over then and carefully cuddled max

"Is This helping?" Chloe asked with a giggle

"It Always does!" Said max weakly and happily kissing his mum on the snoot causing her to giggle

"I don't care how old you are! You'll always be my little baby puppy!" Said chloe carefully snuggling max close to her

"I agree!" Said max

"Hey max! Are you hungry? The dr said with all of that puking and stuff your stomach is really empty!" Said Mackenzie

"A little.." Said max his stomach grumbling

"Ok then! Something not to heavy... not too greasy..." said chloe thinking

"Pizza..." said max

"That's the exact opposite of not heavy and Greasy!" Said chloe with a laugh

"Dominos isn't that bad..." said max

"That's true!" Said chloe

"Dominos it is then! Behave yourselves!" Said Kenzie with a chuckle giving his wife and pup a kiss before leaving to go get the food

Chloe snuggled max under the warm blanket

"Max..." said chloe

"Yes mum?" Max asked

"Be a baby puppy again..." said chloe with a tired chuckle

"I still am in a way!" Said max with a weak chuckle carefully cuddling his mum

"Me and dad love you so much hun!" Said chloe

"I love you guys too!" Said max giving a weak smile kissing his mum on the cheek

"You'll always be my baby!" Said chloe

"Yep!" Said max

A knock at the front door was heard

It was bluey,jean luc and hunter!

"Hey guys!" Said chloe happily

"Hey Chloe! How is max?" Bluey asked

"He's doing well! Recovering from his surgery!" Said chloe

"That's a relief!" Said jean

"Can we see him?" Hunter asked

"Of course! Come in" said chloe

Chloe led them inside

"Where's Kenzie?" Bluey asked

"He's out getting pizza! I'll let him know that you guys came!" Said chloe texting Kenzie

Chloe then led them upstairs

Bluey,jean and hunter wagged their tails and smiled

"Hey!" Said max

"Hi sweetheart! How are you feeling?" Bluey asked walking up to Max and giving him a kiss to the snoot

Max giggled a bit as hunter cuddled him also kissing him on the snoot

"You boys never cease to give us a cuteness overload!" Said jean with a chuckle patting the pups on the head and Giving them kisses

"I heard Delgado,muffin and luanne are coming today!" Said chloe

"That's good! What about the others?" Bluey asked

"They're gonna come as well over these next few days! The family has been extremely worried about max! Especially da Vinci and dolly!" Said chloe

"I can imagine so! What about Jeffery and your parents and the same thing on Kenzie's side of the family?" Hunter asked

"Them too!" Said chloe with a smile petting him and max

"This is gonna be a long recovery... a painful and slow one as well... but as I long as I have you all I'll be fine!"' Said max with all his strength

Everyone smiled and hugged max as Kenzie came back with the food and they all ate!
