Trixie had been ill for a time. She's been weak and has had a strange growth in her lower chest area.

As her Condition began to worsen she and stripe knew they had to see a dr and act fast

They couldn't take any risks. Trixie had lost lots of family who passed or had recovered from cancer and they feared the worst

Soon After multiple x rays, tests and more. The results came in.

"Mr and Mrs heeler. Your gonna wanna sit down for this." Said the dr in a sorrowful tone of voice

Trixie and stripe sat down at the dr's desk

"Mrs heeler. Your results are in. You have pancreatic cancer..." the dr said with sympathy

Tears began to stream down trixie's eyes... she had cancer. A disease very few in her family survived. Losing her mother to it when sock's was little Devastating her and the family.

"Oh my god..." Trixie said beginning to breakdown stripe holding her close

"Luckily We caught it in the early stages. And with enough chemo therapy treatment there's a good chance you'll beat it." The dr explained

Now they had to break the news to the family

*later at stripe's*

Everyone sat at the table normally

"Guys. We have serious news..." said Trixie

"What's the news granny?" Luanne asked

Trixie took a deep breath as stripe held her close

"I-I... I have..... I-I have cancer..." said Trixie ears beginning to stream down her eyes

Everyone's eyes widened their hearts sinking...

Luanne didn't understand what was happening but could feel the negative sorrowful energy in the room

"Oh my god....." socks managed to utter beginning to tremble

"I... I-I... this can't be happening..." said muffin beginning to cry Delgado and Luanne hugging her

"W-what does this mean?" Luanne asks

"You're Grandma is very very sick sweetheart..." said stripe

Luanne was young but could tell when something was truly wrong

"W-will she gets better?" Luanne asked also beginning to whimper

"Luckily they caught it early on... there's a good chance I'll go into remission! but they said with treatments and the disease advancing it'll render me very sick and very weak for a long time." said Trixie sad but giving a small smile of hope

Trixie had always been a fighter. She never backed down and never gave up on anything. A trait her kids inherited

"I know you can beat this! We'll be right here to help every step of the way!" Said Delgado

Muffin and Luanne stiffened their upper lips and smiled. And so did socks.

Luanne sat in trixie's lap holding her close

As the family embraced they knew it would a long and harsh road ahead
