Chapter seventeen

Evie's POV

Christmas Day

"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" Someone screamed whilst jumping on me. My eyes slowly opened as I saw ashton jumping on my bed.

"Morning baby, go and get your brother dressed for me!" I said whilst rubbing my eyes. He nodded and ran out the room.

"Morning darling" I heard Leo say from beside me. "Morning babe." I said kissing his lips.

I got out of bed and realised that me and him were naked.

I quickly got dressed into an Adidas tracksuit, and Leo got dressed into a pair of sweatpants and a grey top. I walked out of my room to see Bucky in a matching Adidas tracksuit and ashton wearing a grey tracksuit.

I picked Bucky up and we all walked downstairs. I handed Bucky to Leo as they all went to open presents.

I made a massive fruit bowl for everyone and put it on the coffee table.

The boys opened all their presents from me and Leo and were now playing with them whilst the grinch was on.

"I got you something" Leo said handing me a box. I opened the box and looked inside to see a pair of black heels.

I smiled and gave him a hug thanking him.

"I also got you something" I said handing him a present. He opened it and his face lit up.

It was a photo frame with a picture of us four in it. He pulled me into a kiss and I kissed him back.

"Ewwww" I heard ashton say. I laughed and went to sit with my boys.

The whole day was filled with watching movies, me making food, Leo putting toys together and ashton playing with the toys.

"Ok boys, one last movie and then bed time!" I said looking at the clock. It was 9pm.

Leo put a Christmas movie on and we all got under the blanket.

We were all sitting quietly watching the movie.

"Mama" my heart stopped. I looked at Leo who had the same shocked expression.

I looked down at Bucky.

"Say that again buck!" I said excited.

"Mama" I laughed and picked him up kissing him. I felt tears in my eyes.

"His first word!" I said. Leo and ashton shared the same joy as we all praised Bucky.

"This was the best Christmas ever! Thanks mum" Ashton said smiling up at me. I smiled and tucked him in.

"Goodnight ash!" I said walking out the room.

I walked downstairs and began cleaning the rubbish. Leo helped.

"So.. the wedding is in two days, how you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm feeling good, excited even." I smiled up at him. He smiled back.

"I better get going" he said putting the rubbish in the bin.

"Ok" I smiled.

"Ill see you on our wedding day" he said kissing my cheek. I smiled and waved him off.

I slowly walked upstairs and into my room. I got dressed into sweats and climbed into my bed.

I smiled happily at how the day went and slowly closed my eyes. Letting the nightmares of the past invade my brain.

"ASHTON! PUT THE SHANK BACK IN THE DRAW NOW!" I shouted at my brother who was playing around with it.

"NO! I DONT WANNA!" He shouted back.

"YOU HAVE SO MANY NEW TOYS TO PLAY WITH! PUT MY SHANK AWAY NOW!" I shouted back.

He groaned and placed it back in the draw going to play outside. I picked Bucky out if the chair and sat on the floor with him.

We have been practicing walking for quite a while now, and he's getting the hang of it.

"Ok Bucky! Come get the cookie!" I said standing at the other end of the living space.

He took a few small steps and my smile grew wider.

He finally made it to me and I cheered picking him.

"You did it baby! I'm so proud!" I said smiling at him giving him the cookie.

I walked outside holding Bucky's hand to see ashton playing on his bike in the road. I smiled and sat down on the steps watching him.

"Ok boys, dinners ready!" I shouted putting the pizza on the table. Ashton ran to the table whilst Bucky took cautious steps.

"Thanks mum!" Ashton said. I smiled and took a slice for myself.

As the boys were eating dinner I made sure our bags were packed as we were going to get on the plane to Italy. Well Leo's private jet.

I put all the bags in the car including my dress and flower crown before getting the boys in the car. I locked the front door and got into the car.

The boys fell asleep on the way to Scotland and we got to the airport at 2am.

I got onto the plane with Leo and fell asleep.

Once we got to Italy Leo woke me up and the driver drove me and the boys to the hotel we were getting married in.

Once we got there it was completely empty as Leo had rented it out and we were showed to the room me, ashton and Bucky were staying in.

Once we got into the room I hung the dress up and put the boys in bed.

Right now it is five am and the wedding ceremony is at 1pm. So I decided to get into my pyjamas and climb into bed.

I did the math in my head and if I sleep from now to 10am I should have five hours of sleep. As well as enough time to get ready in the morning. Perfect.

I slowly let my mind fall asleep and consume itself with memories of my father.
