The next morning, Professor McGonagall was giving out the class schedules to the 6th year Gryffindors out side their common room. And that's when Annabeth decided they had forgotten to discuss about this with Dumbledore.

Once again the three demigods found themselves in front of the stone gargoyle that Leo had intended to hack.

With a single 'Lemon drops' they found themselves in Dumbledore's office. Dumbledore was standing in the center of his office looking as though he was preparing to leave. At the sound of the door opening he turned around and stared at them.

"Dear goodness, it's not even twenty-four hours yet and you've bursted into my office thrice already. What do I owe you the pleasure of coming here, dear demigods?", he asked them.

"Oh, about that.. well, we forgot to discuss our class schedules with you", Annabeth said out of breath.

"I see. Since you all aren't going to pursue any career in the wizarding world, I think a few simple subjects would be fine.", Dumbledore said.

"And no homework, please.", Percy said while Leo nodded along with him.

Dumbledore smiled at that, "I cannot persuade your teachers not to give you any homework."

"Yeah, but a note from the headmaster can bar us from doing any homework.", Leo said.

"What makes you think I'll be any partial-?"

"We have a quest. And we're not even wizards. Hey, and we're dyslexic. The homework won't be in Ancient Greek, right?", Percy said, looking at Dumbledore with puppy eyes while Annabeth rolled her eyes in the background.

"Fine.", Dumbledore sighed. He handed them their schedules and shooed them off  his office.

They then went to their common room and sprawled on the sofa. The common room was almost empty except for a few sixth year students who had their first hour free. Not having anything to do, they all bought their wands from their trunks and tried learning the basics.

Of course, since they were demigods not wizards (or witches, for Annabeth's sake) they could do nothing with their wands on their own.

An hour later, Annabeth, Percy and Leo took their backpacks, changed into robes, and sticking the wands into their pockets, left for their first class. Their Defense against the Dark Arts classroom was four floor below.

By the time they reached, students had already started pouring into the classroom.

At the gate stood a man, who Percy could have only described as a mortal version of Hades with a full black attire and emotionless black eyes. He must be our teacher, Percy thought as he passed by him and settled down on the auditorium-like chairs , with Annabeth on his left and Leo on his right.

His class schedule told him that the man teaching him right now was Severus Snape. Quite a snaky name, he thought and looked over at Leo, who seemed to have noticed the same thing. They both smirked at each other while Annabeth frowned in their direction.

The mortal Hades version seemed to be talking something about Dark Arts. Being diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia made it impossible for him to sit at a place for so long. He doodled absently on his parchment, while Leo fidgeted with a curved pipe and Annabeth studied her wand.

"...you are, I believe, complete novices in the use of nonverbal spells. What is the advantage of a nonverbal spell?", Snape seemed to be asking. Percy was listening only half-heartedly. Magic school or not, the classes seemed to be just as boring.

"Mr. Jackson, would you like to answer?". It took a minute for Percy to realize that he was talking to him.

"No, not really", Percy said with half a shrug. Snape's dark eyes told him that his answer would not be entertained. "Well, you just said we are complete novice in the use on non-verbal spells. (He was listening that much at least) Then, you mustn't expect me to know right?" Percy tried again.

"This could have been answered by any third year student", Snape sneered at him. "Didn't you learn as much in your previous school?"

I'm going to have a few words with Dumbledore over his choice of staff, Percy thought. He was about to explain when Annabeth said, "He was always a little dumb. Don't mind him, sir. You can ask Miss Granger. She clearly knows the answer."

"Why don't you inform the class about the advantages of nonverbal spell then, Miss Chase".
