"What is going on here?" Draco Malfoy said, looking more amused than shocked which did seem a bit out of his character.

"It's none of your business" Percy said, while Grover seemed to be hiding behind Leo tucking in his goat legs.

"Anything under your feet, satyr?" Draco asked genuinely curious.

"Why do you care?" Annabeth asked, furious at being sneaked upon.

Draco stared at Annabeth with such amusement that did not seem to match with his gray and pale figure, "It's hardly been two years and you seem to forget the French date I gifted you. You should seem more grateful since the reason I'm here is to deliver you your mother's message."

"The French date? My mother's message?", Annabeth blanched.

"What's it with you all? Four months into an unknown territory and you already act indifferent to me. Where's the gratitude? I've helped you more than any other god!" Draco said spreading his arms wide and unclear.

"Who are you?" Leo asked, his eyes wide. Even Grover had stopped hiding and was looking at Draco with bewilderment.

With the weight of so many eyes, Draco seemed to notice the problem for the first time. He looked down at his body and jumped straight out of his shoes, "Holy Hera! I've never looked this worse even when Apollo dared me to turn into a gorilla! No wonder you didn't recognize me."

"Are you Dionysus?" Percy asked, his eyes wide as they could be

"No, he's Hermes!" Annabeth exclaimed "Those peculiar things bursting from his wands? Those are George and Martha. But what are you doing here?"

"Delivering messages, what else?"

"Can you do something about that look?" Grover asked.

"I'm trying." Draco/ Hermes said. He seemed to concentrate and for a moment a taller man with travelling suit almost solidified but no sooner the Draco Malfoy was back.

"It's something about the magic here. I guess Greek Gods aren't welcome in the wizarding world. Next time I'm gonna ask Athena to pay me triple, that tricking woman, huh!" Hermes said looking vexed in a different form.

The rush of footwear sounded from far away which could mean that the students were heading back to the castle.

"Right, Athena's message? What is it?" Annabeth asked coming straight to the point.

"Wait, it must be somewhere here.." Hermes searched the pockets of Draco's cloak, "Ahh, Here is it, had to write it down, you see"

He handed Annabeth the piece of paper he had fished out.

"Every problem doesn't need to have a solution. But it's important to figure out the problem." Annabeth read aloud.

"What does this mean?" Leo asked looking to Hermes.

"I don't know, my duty was only to deliver it. You figure it out, I'm leaving. I don't want to be stuck in this form" He already seemed to be dissolving around the corners but now he vanished completely in a swish of swirling snow.

Some sort of commotion was happening outside the woods with rushed footsteps. Annabeth was still absorbed in the paper in her hand as if looking for invisible signs, her brows screwed up.

"Found anything?", Percy asked.

"I don't know..", Annabeth said still not looking up.

"I think I should leave, I can hear footsteps", Grover said gathering up his reed pipes.

"And so should we" Leo said "Come on"

As they made their way back to the castle, Annabeth still lost in thoughts, they encountered a crowd dispersing with hushed mutterings and all they could make out of it was 'Dark magic', 'Katie Bell', 'Gryffindor' and 'Harry potter'.
