IN the middle of the night, Barry and Victor were in the middle of digging up Clark's grave.
It took convincing from both Bruce and Diana to get Jess to agree to the plan. "Cross this one off the bucket list." Barry joked. "Exhume Superman from the grave. Check." Victor shook his head at Barry's sense of humor as he continued to dig. Barry paused, wiping the sweat ff his brow. "You know we could do this in a nanosecond, right?"
"We could." Victor nodded.
Barry looked at the tombstone that read, 'Clark Kent, loving son and brother' in white letters. Barry couldn't help but feel sorrow at what he was doing. "He was my hero..." He looked at Victor with a sad smile. "They both are."
Victor nodded his head again. "Yeah... they were mine too." He scooped out another load of dirt. "I give Jess a lot of crap for not saving my mom, but in the end, she's not God." He looked back at Barry. "She's my hero too, but don't tell her I said that."
Meanwhile, Diana and Arthur sat in the back of the giant van Bruce rented out for them. "An Amazon working with an Atlantean." Diana mumbled.
"Half-Atlantean." Arthur corrected, taking a swig of his flask. He motioned for Diana to take some when she declined.
"How many thousands of years since our people spoke?" She asked after a silence between them.
Arthur shrugged, twisting the cap back on. "I don't know. I'm not exactly close to mine. I hate Atlanteans as much as you Amazons do."
Diana shook her head. "Hate is useless."
"Yep." He nodded. "You know, my father told me there's a saying in Atlantis... 'None are taken back from the darkness. Not without...'."
"Not without giving one up in return." Diana finished with a smile. "We say the same thing."
Arthur chuckled to himself. "How about that?" He paused for a second. "I have a question." Diana hummed in acknowledgment. "You and Bruce..."
"Not interested." She chuckled.
"I thought so." He smirked. "It's Ms. Supertwin you have a thing for, huh?"
Diana felt herself trying not to smile at the mention of Jessica. "Is it that obvious?"
"Nah, lucky guess." He shrugged. "She's just captivating. It's hard not to like her."
Diana let herself smile. "That's her superpower." She messed with a loose thread on her jacket. "The only thing is I know she's conflicted. She loves Bruce, it's not hard to see but I can tell there's something between her and I. I don't want her to feel as if she has to choose." Diana looked at Arthur. "I'll be ready for her when she wants me. I just want her to know that whatever her decision is, I'll always be there."
Barry looked at Diana and Arthur from his spot in the grave with a wide smile. "Wonder Woman." He whistled. "What do you think, man? You think she'd ever go for a younger guy?"
