THE team had begun approaching their destination.

"I'm gonna take out that tower and knock down that shield dome." Bruce said as the team walked off the plane. "Whatever you see, stick to the plan. It's why I brought you together."

He closed the landing door of the ship. The team watched Bruce fly over to the red shield Steppenwolf created. Diana furrowed her brows when she noticed that he was getting too close to the shield. "Bruce, pull back." She spoke into the comm. "You're not gonna make it."

He fired a missile towards a weak spot the computer uncovered from its algorithm. Bruce grunts at the shaking of the ship. "Just have to knock a little louder..." He grumbled to himself.

He shot more missiles at the shield, attacking its newfound weak spot. When the hole was open just wide enough, he flew the ship through. The plane shook, making Bruce grunt once more.

Once he was cleared, he saw the giant alien pillar holding the shield up. "Bang." He muttered as he shot the missile. The pillar exploded, taking the shield down. "The tower's down. Do you read me?"

"Uh, yeah, loud and clear." Barry answered.

"No!" Steppenwolf shouted. "Kill him, defend the Unity!"

The Parademons screech at the order, flying into the air to take down the plane. They began to claw at the ship's armor, messing with wires as Bruce began to go down.

With a quite bumpy landing in the middle of the deserted street, Bruce unbuckled himself from the seatbelt. "Are you okay?" Barry asked frantically. "Bruce? Bruce!"

"Get to the reactor," Bruce answered gruffly. "I'll lure as many of these monsters away from you as I can."

"What does that mean?"

"Don't worry about me, get to The Unity." The landing door began to be banged against making Bruce pause. The Parademons snarled outside, desperate to get inside. "They're here." He muttered before flipping a giant lever, turning off all the power on the ship.

"Bruce?" Barry asked again. When all he heard was static, he looked at Diana in panic. "Comm went dead."

Diana narrowed her eyes. She reached behind her to grab her sword and shield. "Let's go."

In the plane, the Parademons were about to claw their way inside when the landing door fell open all by itself. Confused about the sudden surrender, they peered inside to see everything was dark. A low, throaty rumbling captured their attention.

Suddenly, two giant bright lights engulfed their senses. Bruce, from inside the Batmobile, activated the weapons on his car and began shooting. The bullets lodged themselves inside the walking insects with no mercy.

Bruce stomped his foot on the pedal, running over the remaining carcasses as they splattered all over the hood of the car. Upon hearing the cry of their fellow brethren, more Parademons began to follow suit. "Come on," Bruce growled. "Follow me, you damn insects."
