Forest Bones

I laid down to sleep in the dense mosses
And the glittering dust swirled all around.
The sun kissed the dew's back so deep
Amongst the ferns that covered my body.
And the caterpillars spun their hovels
And blossomed forth wind-kissed wings
Of the fairest creatures.
And my skin danced from the ants
And the beetles that carried me thru death.
And the dusks and dawns flew
Upon the tails of comets
Like undying love in poetic lines.
And the world forgot of me till I was found
And once again I became a mystery unto them.
