I was reaching into the wind and I picked a song out
And I heard it along the lines of a gentle whisper
So I leaned In And listened closer As it got the ocean to echo it's tune
For I heard a soft shadow chatter my name to a tale of doom
Hear ye oh hear me I tell you all I have a soft heart and a body of sand
I soak in everything but nothing stays when I have no where to stand
So when the song of the outside world sang its tune in my ear
I listened ever so closely but never did quite hear
So I gave the song back but the waters played me its echo till it sank in
Oh please stop the words from coming in they're so hard to hear
My voice is so quite cus it's been take out of me by the wind
Can someone please drown out the noise of this hurricane of tears
For my voice is so low I can't drown the sounds out on my own
For the shards of its cold words pierce thru me and some are absorbed into my body
As my voice was carried away by the breeze that I thought was so sweet
And cus I have a soft heart and my body is of sand
