The Embrace

I am bare. There is nothing but bone and blood, skin and hair. To touch is to find me crumbling so the moon can be seen thru if you look closely. I am hollow and frail. Dust to ashes blown away by a kiss. I raise myself To the clouds that form my oceans, so tossed and troubled till you rest yourself upon it. And bend my form to your contour. Like the moon that steals away to its beloved while it's shadow remains to fool the eyes of the night sky. So I fade to your form and am hid from earth by your wings and from the air by your golden mossy hair that graces your lithe beauty that steals away my soul. Tho the heavens are not ours yet our world is our own. And dawn comes and bends its head over us with its pearly arms and fills the air with its soft warmth till I am no more and you remain in its dreams.
