Date: May 6th, 1999 {Late at night}
Joey: Age 14
Shane: Age 15
--------------------------------------------{Joeys Pov}
Joey: I swear to god Shane of you don't get over here right now and cuddle me I'll snap your neck.
Shane chuckled into the phone.
Shane: I'm walking as fast as I can.
He promised.
Joey: I'm so glad your parents let you stay the night.
I reassured myself. I felt relieved.
Shane: Well, we usually do on the weekends.
I whispered a faint 'Yeah'.
Shane: M'here.
Joey: Okay!
I hung up the phone and ran down the stairs shouting 'SHANE'S HERE!' to my parents and they looked at each other and laughed.
{Shane's Pov}
I waited with my hands in my pockets, and my phone in the back one. Joey opened the door as I ran my fibers through my hair, sweeping it from my eyes.
Shane: Hung up without a simple 'I love you' huh?
I whispered to him.
Joey: I'm sorry. I love you.
Joey whispered back and pulled me into a tight hug. We pulled away after a second and I swung my bag over one shoulder and chased Joey up the stairs.
Joey and I got into his room and he shut the door. I laid my bag on the floor.
Joey: Someone's looking rather rugged and charming tonight.
Joey said and straightened out the collar of my leather jacket.
I hummed, agreeing, and Joey sighed.
Joey: How are you? Do I ask that enough?
I laughed at Joey being so, I don't know, wifey all of the sudden.
Shane: I'm good. And yes.
Joey almost face palmed himself.
Joey: Shoot. I'm acting weird again. I'm
sorry.Joey chuckled a bit and sat down on his bed. I shimmed out of my leather jacket and it dropped to his always-clean carpet. Joey couldn't seem to draw his eyes off of me, but I didn't mind.
Of course I didn't mind.
I sat down beside him.
Shane: It's not something to feel bad about. You just care about me.
I shined a cheesy grin and Joey laughed.
Joey: Of course I care, stupid. Maybe too much for my own good...
Joey blushed and crossed his arms by his chest.
Shane: Don't you dare blush, Joey. You're too freaking cute and it's annoying.
I laid down and laughed. Joey looked down and his cheeks were a dark red.
Joey: How's it annoying?
Joey asked, holding back a cute little giggle.
I sighed.
Shane: Because. You're just so cute and I can't have you.
Joey shrugged his shoulders and laid down beside me, our shoulders touching and our breathing matched.
Joey: How much more of me can you have?
He questioned and this time I was the one who shrugged.
Shane: People wouldn't get it. Hell, you might not get it.
I wrapped my arm around his shoulder.
Joey: What wouldn't I get?
I sighed again.
Shane: That I want to be more than your friend.
Joey laughed.
Joey: You are more than my friend! Your my best friend.
I rolled my eyes and wanted to throw my head against a brick wall.
Shane: More than a best friend...
I said reluctantly and Joey laughed harder.
Joey: I know, you wanna be my boyfriend. And yeah, okay. You can be my boyfriend.
I pulled my arm from Joey to roll over into one of his pillows to blush and giggle to myself in happiness without the fear of getting teased, although his teasing was never bad.
Joey: Shaney!
He giggled when he saw my red cheeks.
Shane: I'm just so happy.
I admitted, covering my eyes with my hands. Joey pulled my hands away and intertwined both our hands, his face was red now too.
Joey: Whys that?
I took a deep breath and smiled.
Shane: I can love you out loud. And I have the most perfect boy in the world and...
I cut myself off when I saw Joey staring at my lips, then back at my eyes.
Shane: And I can make out with you feeling no shame.
Joey smiled for only a short period of time before I slammed my lips into his.
His hand held on to my neck and his lips tasted like something I couldn't remember, but knew. Like an old favorite song or lost friend. And I just wanted more, so I kissed him deeper and harder and fell more in love with him. He kissed back and I just felt like I was home.Joey pulled away slowly and smiled at me, with his eyes closed. He was so handsome.
Joey sighed happily and I just couldn't stop looking at how stunning he was.
Shane: Wow, I love you.
I told Joey. Or maybe I was just reassuring to myself how much I loved Joey. How much I loved every single broken piece of him, and I just wanted to hold him until they all stuck back together.
He was beautiful no matter what was going on with him.
Joey: Shane?
Joey asked, and I looked up into his blue-green eyes.
Shane: Yeah?
Joey: How open are we gonna be about this-about us?
I sighed.
Shane: Probably not very, honestly. People like us aren't treated very highly.
Joey: But they pretty much already know, right? That we're gay?
I rubbed the back of my neck.
Shane: Yeah. But...
Joey: Just, like, fuck them.
I was a little taken back and Joey tried not to laugh.
Shane: You cussed?
Joey: Yeah.
Joey giggled and he was just too adorable to be badass for two seconds.
Shane: Okay, how about if they ask, we'll tell. But if not, it's none of their concern.
I heard Joeys mom call us for dinner.
Joey: Yeah, okay.
Joey agreed, and we got up and walked down the stairs.
