{Shane's Pov}

Date: May 30th- May 31st, 2002
Joey: Almost 18
Shane: 18

We arrived in California after a three hour flight, in which Joey would not shut up about how excited he was.

And that's okay, it's cute. And I was excited too. This was exciting. I was spending so much time with the person I loved most on this planet, and hell, the best parts of this whole trip was when Joey would get excited and smile and I'd get to sit back and watch his eyes start to glow and fill with amazement. Being so in love never felt so right before.

We got to the Disneyland hotel room and I set our luggages on the table. Joey was breathing heavy and took a seat on the bed. He was having more trouble trying to move- and it broke my heart seeing him so sick.

Shane: Joey, babe. Are you okay?

I walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. He nodded and leaned his body weight forward where he was sitting, placing both his hands on both his knees.

Joey: Yeah, m'fine. Nothing is keeping me from today.

Joey huffed and got back to his normal breathing. I cautiously nodded, I didn't want Joey to miss out on this more than anything, but his health is so fragile and it needs to always be put first.

Joey: Did I ever tell you how attractive you are?

I chuckled. The random compliments never seized.

Shane: All the time.

Joey had caught his breath. He took his hands off his knees, played with the string on my sweat pants, and winked at me.

Shane: There is no way we are having sex here.

I laughed and walked over to unpack some of the stuff from the luggage.

Joey: But this is where dreams come true, right?

Joey groaned and flopped back on to the soft looking bed defeated. I know how much he doesn't like it, but even when he was trying to be sexy, he was still so adorable and I couldn't barely take it seriously.

Shane: Yeah, like the kids-from-neverland kinda dreams. Not the ones with the morning boners.

I laughed and looked at myself in the mirror that hung on the outside of the bathroom door. My shoulders looked a little manlier today in my black shirt.

Joey: Yeah, well, I wanna fuck.

I was taken back a little by Joey's language. Never would he ever use such a word, but Joey laughed to himself a little and I rolled my eyes and smiled.

Shane: Yeah, well, you're not legal.

I mocked him and Joey kicked his legs back on the bed like a little kid. He crossed his arms in front of his chest.

Joey: Yeah, whatever.

Joey pouted.

Shane: Don't you start pouting.

Joey didn't answer.

Shane: Are you giving me the silent treatment?

Joey didn't respond. I smiled and started to sing-

Shane: Don't go breaking my heart-

Joey: I COULDN'T IF I- fuck you.

Joey cussed again and I was amused and surprised at the same time. He was catching up with me. I laughed and I set some clothes out for us on the bed.
