It's Just You and Me, Okay?

Chapter 10

  

    After a good 30 seconds, I stepped back, eyes watery from the emotions, smiling up at the man, as he returned it. The door swung open with three men trailing in after, interrupting the moment between Josh and I.

    "And thats my queue" He sighed looking back down at me with a gentle smile,

    "Goodbye y/n" and after that he was gone..

    "Good evening Ms. Y/n, I see you are ready to go? I can have my men take your things and we will be on our way."

    "Great, I need to go to the ladies room, I will meet you in the car.." I responded, making my way to the bathroom, locking it behind me. I stepped in front of the bathroom mirror, looking up and down at what I saw reflecting back at me. I bent down taking the water into my palms, splashing it against my tired skin, focusing back up to the mirror. I took a deep breath, wiping the remaining water off my face with a paper towel,

    "I can do this", A couple more seconds of stalling, I venture outside of the bar, locking it from the inside, and turn around to see the black cadillac waiting with one of the men opening the door as I approach the vehicle.

    "Thank you", He nodded, closing the door as I got in. The man in charge accompanied me in the back while the other two sat up front.

    "So..I never caught your names" I say, breaking the silence.

    "That is restricted..only code names Ms. Y/n"

    "Well thats not fair, you guys know my name.." I sighed in disbelief.

    "Very true, how about we give you a nickname?" He suggested.

    "Okay! Will you tell me your code names then?" I asked, squinting my eyes.

    "This is Agent Rollins and the one on your left is Agent Rumlow", He gestured toward the two men.

    "that sounds more like the word 'Agent' in front of last names.." I laughed, shifting in my seat.

    "okay, you have a point, that's exactly what they are", We laughed in unison

    "well what' your name? or shall I say 'code name'?" I asked taking my attention back to the man beside me,

    "I am Baron Zemo, Nice to fully meet you" He held out his hand as I took it, shaking it lightly.

    "What about code names?" I add slightly laughing.

    "I feel as if we will be seeing each other around much more often, also because I dont have a code name." He simply smirk at his remark.

    "Oh, are you special or something?" I sarcastically asked.

    "Well I am a very important piece of our organization here, so maybe" He said confidently.

    "So you're telling me, I might be spending more time with one of the most important people of this organization? Sounds interesting, and speaking of organization, do you mind if I ask where you are taking me?"

    "Virginia"

    "Why so far?" I remained my focus on Zemo.

    "Its where our main facility is where you'll train and prep, its our preparatory academy, you'll be recruited there for at least 6 months until they say you are ready." He informed me as I sat in silence.

    "And once I am ready? Where will I go?" I questioned, examining every expression on his face.

    "Then you'll be transported to the research base in Sokovia, where youll officially work, and make the world a better place! Am I right, boys?!" He laughed maniacally, grabbing the shoulders of one of the agents who were seated in front of him in the driver's seat. The two agents joined Zemo in his fit of laughter, making me feel a breeze of uncomfortable awkwardness.

    "Why were they laughing?", This ride took a turn for the worse, and the bubbles in my stomach began to swell, making me nauseous, confused, and most importantly tense.

    We have been on the road for over 2 hours now, with two more to go until we reach our destination. I was hungry, paranoid, and still in the same uncomfortable situation. Did I mention I had to piss?

    Anyways after the three mens laughing session earlier, the ride was silent for the most part, the only sounds I could make out were the whistling of the wind outside and the wheels spinning along the pavement.

    Can this ride be over with already?
