Chapter 22

"Jack please come get me" I cried into the phone. "I'm on my way peanut" he said and before I knew it the doorbell rang. I jumped up and ran to Jack. "Come on let's go to my house." He said and we left.

|At Jack's|

"Hey Aud what's wrong?" Nash asked me as we all sat in the living room. "Umm last night mom and dad got into like a huge argument and all they've been doing is yelling and screaming and I'm pretty sure dad threw something this morning." I said and cried into Jacks shoulder. "Do you want me to go over there with you so you can get some stuff and then you can stay over here for a while?" Nash asked me. "Yeah sure." I said and we left.

When we got to my house I didn't even stop to look at my parents, I just ran upstairs and threw clothes in a bag and ran back downstairs. "Audrey can we talk to you?" My mom and dad asked as Nash stepped back. "Sure" I said as I sat on the couch. I looked over at my mom and she had tears in her eyes. "Audrey I'm sorry but your dad and I are getting a divorce." My mom said. I lost it. I ran to Nash and cried. "Audrey" my dad said. "I'm sorry. Come here please. Nash we have to talk to here so she'll be over in a minute." My dad said and Nash left.

"Audrey they way we're doing this might be harder for you but we need to know who you want to live with." My mom said. "I don't know...I guess dad." I said and put my hands on my head. "I hate this." I said. "Hey you'll get to see your mom on the weekends." Dad said and hugged me. "Can I go to Matthew's?" I asked. "What?" My parents said. "I want Uncle Matt! Please take me to Matt's!" I yelled. "Okay come on." My dad said and we loaded up in the truck.

"Dad," I said. "Yes?" He asked. "Why do we have to do this?" I asked as I looked out the window. "It's just what's best." He said. "What about Cassie and Braxton?" I asked. "They're going with us. They'll go with you to your moms on the weekends" he said. "Oh." I said. "Hey you know I didn't want to do this." he said. "Then why did you?" I asked crying. "I just had to." I could tell he was upset. "We're here. Do you want me to stay?" He asked. "Sure." I said and texted Jack.

Me- They're getting a divorce

Hamilton💖💖- I'm sorry peanut. Are you coming back over?

Me- I'm at Matt's.

Hanilton💖💖- okay love you

Me- I love you too

"Hey Matt." I said as I hugged him. "Hey little dallas." He said. That's what he called me because all the boys think I look just like my dad. "Where's Ava and Jordyn?" I asked. Matthew has two little girls, Ava and Jordyn. Ava is 3 and Jordyn is almost 4 months old. "Ava is in the kitchen with her mom and Jordyn is asleep. I went and sat on Matthew's couch and dad explained everything to Matt. "Oh dang." Matt said. "Audrey!" Ava said running over to me. "Hey Ava." I said. "Audrey why do you look so sad" she asked as she climbed up beside me on the couch. "Just cause some stuff is going on." I said. "Oh. Daddy!" She said. "What Ava?" Matthew asked. "Can Audrey stay the night since she's sad?" She asked. "Not tonight because she has some stuff to do at home with her mom and dad." He said. "I'm actually going to Jack's tonight." I said. "Oh well not tonight Ms. Ava. Why don't you go play in your room?" Matt said and kissed her head.

"You feeling any better?" Jack asked. "No not really. I'm going to live with my dad." I said. "So you're moving?" He asked. "No I'm pretty sure dad is staying in this house. I'll just be gone in the weekends." I said. "I love you" he said. "I love you too." I said as he played with my hair.

Jack's POV

I feel so bad for Audrey. I think I'm going to take her out tomorrow. Since she fell asleep, I went downstairs to talk to Dad. "Hey dad can I take Audrey out tomorrow?" I asked as I sat at the bar. "Yeah sure. What are you going to do?" Dad asked. "I think just take her out for a day to herself. Not for us but just for her." I said. "That sounds good. Hey dinner is ready. Is she still asleep?" Mom said. "Yeah. Can I just save her some food so she can sleep?" I asked "Sure." Mom said.

"Jack where's Audrey?" Bella asked. "Upstairs in my room asleep" I said. "Can I cuddle with you bubba? I don't feel good." She said. "Yeah come here." I said as she climbed up beside me and we laid down on the couch. "Can you put on a blanket?" She asked. "Yea here." I said and covered us up and we fell asleep.

"Jack why don't you go to your room with Audrey? It's 11:00pm" my mom said as she woke me up. "Okay" I said and went to my room. i turned on the light and changed into pajamas. "Hey Jack." Audrey said. "Hey" I said and laid beside her. "Thank you." She said. "For what?" I asked. "For today and for being there for me." She and said. "I love you." I said and we kissed. She put her arms around my neck and I could feel her smile. We were interrupted by my dad knocking on the already open door. "Next time close the door! Good night love you" dad said. "Love you too." I said.

"I love you more Jack." Audrey said and we laid down and watched The Fosters. "I love you too baby!" I said and kissed her and we fell asleep.
