Chapter 2

I got up and ran. I ran to the nearest place I knew. There I go again screwing everything up. Did I mention that at the begging? Yeah don't think so. Well here it is, I'm a big screw up.

|Bailey's POV|

"Crap, crap, crap! Where is she going?" I thought as I ran downstairs. "Hey Bailey where's Aud going?" Audrey's parents asked me. "Not sure but I'm going to find her." I said. "Umm we are coming too. Do you know why she is running away?" Sammi asked. "Well she's not running away from us, she's just trying to run away from the drama." I said. "What drama?" Cam asked. 'Life' is what I wanted to say because it was true. "It's a long story that I think would be better understood if Audrey told you so I'll let her do the honors." I said. "Hey do you think she'll answer her phone?" Mrs Sammi asked. "Probably but I left mine at the house and, not to be rude or anything, she probably doesn't want to talk to you two right now." I said. "Well here use my phone" Cam said. "Thanks." I said as I called Audrey. "Hello?" Audrey said crying through the phone. "Aud where are you?" I asked. "Just leave me alone. Don't come find me, I'll screw everything up again." She said. "Aud you didn't screw anything up please tell me where your at." I begged. "I'm at the park." "Okay I'm on my way." I said and hung up. "She's at the park." I told her parents. 'Please don't let her have that blade!' was the only thing going through my mind right now.

"Audrey!" I yelled as I gave her a big hug. She just cried. "Hey hey hey it's okay." I said trying to calm her down. "No it's not. He'll never like me Bay it's crap. It's not worth trying anymore." She said. "Audrey can we talk?" Cameron asked her. "Sure." She said walking over and sitting beside Cam on the bench.

|Audrey's POV|

"Aud can you tell me what's wrong?" Dad asked me. "I screwed everything up, that's what happened." I said. "Look at me" he said. "What's wrong?" He asked "Jack." Is all I said. "I like Jack and Jack didn't know and he was going home and Bailey wanted to know everything she missed and so I told her I thought I was in love with Jack and when I said that he was standing right there and now I screwed everything up and it sucks." I said crying. "Hey baby girl I promise everything will be okay. Let's go home." Mom said. "I'm gonna be at home okay?" Bailey said. "Okay bye Bay love you" I said. "By Aud love you too."

"Yeah I think Jack and Audrey need to talk this out." Are you kidding me? He told Nash. Dad you make me so mad sometimes. "Hey sweetheart are you ready for school?" My dad said as I came downstairs. "Yeah except I have to see Jack." I said. "It'll be fine, let's go." Dad said.

"Hey Audrey!" Bailey said to me as we opened our lockers. "Hey Bay! Where's Jack?" I asked. "I don't know. I haven't seen him." She said. "Well just to be sure I don't see him I'm not going to 1st, 5th, or 6th." I said. "Audrey you have to get over this now come on, the bell just rang." She said dragging me away. "I told you I'm not going." I said. "Aud I'll sit by you in English everything will be fine." She said. "Ugh fine. Between you and my dad, you both make me mad sometimes." I said. "Whatever" she said laughing.

"Well you didn't help me much in English." I said to Bailey. "I'm sorry but Cody is so cute Aud and he talked to me for a change." She said all excited. "Bay, he said can you hand me a paper please? That's not cool at all." We both started laughing. "Look there's Jack. He's getting on my nerves. He won't even look at me." I said. "Audrey let him get his lunch and then we will go talk to him." Bailey said. "Nope. Not talking to him." I said. "You are stubborn you know that?" Bay said.

"Hey Bailey, I'm walking home wanna come?" I asked. "I'll walk with you but I have homework so I have to go home." She said. "Fair game. Let's go."

"Bye Bailey." I said as I walked inside of my house. There he was, Mr. Jack Hamilton Grier. "Dad why is he here?" I asked quietly in the kitchen away from Jack. "Because yall need to talk." My dad said. "No dad, you don't understand. When you were younger you were social media famous and so you got all the girls. Mom was Uncle Taylor's sister, a Caniff, so she got all the guys. Not hard to piece up dad. You two just don't understand." I said as I ran to my room and called Bailey. "Bailey!" I said. "Hello?" She said. "He's here." I said. "What's Jack doing at your house?" She said. "My dad told Nash and now he wants us to talk." I said. "Well tell your dad we need to work on homework together and I'll come over and then you two won't have to talk." She said. "Alright hold on, I will be right back." "Dad!" I yelled. "Come down here don't yell!" My dad said. "Ugh fine." I said. "Dad can Bailey come over? We have homework we have to do together." I said. "Not until you talk to Jack." "I swear dad. You make me so mad." I yelled at him. "Audrey Faith I'm not going to be spoken to like that now come here and talk to him." Dad said. "Fine." I said. "And you can give me your phone." He said as I handed over my phone.

"Aud can we talk?" Jack asked. "Don't you mean Audrey?" I asked. "Well I thought I was allowed to call you Aud" he laughed as we walked outside. "It's just that I mean you didn't talk to me at school so I figured you were mad." I said. "Nah I'm not mad, confused but not mad." He said. "Jack I'm sorry. If you don't like me that fine but I just-" he cut me off with a kiss and then dad ruined the moment by yelling through the window, "No kissing right now!" We both broke the kiss and blushed. "Aud I like you too." He said and I gave him a big hug. "Jack I'm glad you're my best friend." I said as we walked inside. "See, I knew it wouldn't be that bad." My dad said giving me a smirk. "Now can I have my phone back?" I asked with my hand out. "Here princess" he said as he tackled me in a hug. "Dad I'm not 5" I said. "Sorry." He said. "Oh yeah and Bailey is on her way." I said. "Your a brat!" He said. "Sorry, don't try it just happens. Come on Jack let's go upstairs and wait on Bailey."
