Chapter 27

"Who wants to take a ride with me after school?" I asked while waving my new keys in the air. "When did this happen?" Camden asked. "Friday" I said as I sat down with my lunch. "Gross. I hate eating this stuff." I said. "Why can't school food be good for once?" I complained. "It is" Jack said with his mouthful. "You like it?" I said and laughed. "Hey it's food." He said laughing. "Oh Camden look it's your boy." I said teasing her about Ethan. "We are just talking" she said. "Wait what?!" I asked. "Your talking to him and you didn't even tell us?" Salem and Allison said. "Well now you know" she said with a smile. "I'm going to have to talk to him. I mean come on. He obviously knows you like him and yall would be so cute together." I said. "Hey Ethan!" I said as he sat down. "Hey bro, when you asking her?" Jack whispered to him. But you know he's a bad whisperer so whatever. "Wait Jack" I said and pulled him aside. "He's asking her out?" I asked him. "Yeah" he said. "And you didn't tell me?" I asked and playfully hit him. "He wanted it to be a surprise." He said. "Alright let's get back to the table before I miss the actual 'asking her out' part" I said and we went back. "Look at the new happy couple." Salem said as she pointed to Ethan and Camden. "Ugh, thanks loser. I missed it." I said to Jack. "Hey brat," he said jokingly. "Your the one who wanted to talk" he said and kissed my cheek. "True. Let's get to class." I said.

"Jack, will you drive home? I'm not feeling to good." I said. "Sure. Are you okay princess?" He asked. "No" I said as I held my stomach. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I have a major headache and I feel like I could puke and pass out at any minute." I said. "Well let's get you home so you can lay down." He said and got into my new white Jeep.

"But I will love you endlessly" Jack and I quietly sang along to 'Endlessly' by The Cab while holding hands. It was 'our song.' "Come on baby. We're home" Jack said. "Okay" I said and got out. "Hey Jack," I said. "Yes babe?" He asked as we walked in my room since my dad isn't home yet. "Did you leave any sweatpants or a hoodie here that I can wear?" I asked. "Babe" he laughed. "Half of my closet is here." He said. "Oh Duh!" I said and grabbed one of his hoodies and sweats and changed. "Let's lay down babe" he said and we cuddled on my bed.

"Do you feel any better?" He asked. "No but I'm okay as long as I'm right here with you!" I said. "I love you" he said and kissed me. The kiss led to making out and making out led to Jack's shirt being off. Better stop that right there. "What happened to not feeling good?" Jack asked me while laughing. "I don't know I guess I just needed that." I said and kissed his cheek.

"So dance team tryouts start tomorrow?" He asked. "Yeah tryout practices are tomorrow through Thursday and then final evaluations or whatever are on Friday." I said. "I'm kind of nervous. Because I mean just because I'm on team this year doesn't mean I'll make it on team for next year." I said. "You'll do great princess. Get some sleep so you start feeling better" he said and we both fell asleep.

|Tryout Practice|

"Hey girls," the current captain said. "My name is Kylie and I will be helping teach the tryout dance and skills to you guys. It's great to see some returning girls." She said pointing to me. "So why don't we get stretched." She said. We stretched for about 10 minutes before we started working on things needed for tryouts. "Okay girls, we are going to be showing you the dance so if you want to record it, go get your phones" Kylie said.

|after practice|

When I went back in the locker room to get my stuff after practice, I saw I had 12 miss calls from Nash and couple from Aunt Ryleigh and like 15 from dad. I decided to call dad first. "Hey dad" I said. "Hey I'm here, hurry we have to go to the hospital." He said. "Why?!" I asked. "Jack was in a car accident and so was Bella and Nash and Ryleigh but Nash and Ryleigh are fine." He said. "Oh my gosh." I said and ran to Allison, who I was very close with, and cried into her shoulder. "It's going to be okay" she said. "No it's Bella too." I said. "Do you want me to go with you?" She asked me and I nodded. She grabbed her stuff and I grabbed mine and we headed out to the car.

|at the hospital|

"Hey Nash" I said wiping my tears. "How is he?" I asked. "He's back in a coma" he said with tears in his eyes. "What about Bella?" I asked. "She's awake. They are sharing a room. It's down the hall, room 314" he said and Allison and I took off. I walked in and saw a lifeless Jack and my precious baby Bella. "Hey Bella" I said. "Hey Audrey!" She said. "Oh I have to be quiet or I'll wake bubba. That's what daddy said" she said. "It's okay. You won't wake him. He's tired but he's gonna wake up soon." I said crying a little "Audrey" Allison said. "I can't do it" I said and broke down. "He's going to be okay." She said. Just when she said that Jack's monitors started acting crazy and the doctors rushed him into emergency surgery. I sat by dad and Nash and cried. "Audrey?" Bella said. "Is bubba gonna be okay?" She asked. "I hope so Bell. I sure hope so."
