I'm Popular!?

I sit down next to Riley. "Hi," Riley says to me. "Hi," I reply back. "So, where did you move from"?, Riley questions me. "I moved from California." "Nice." She tells me. "At your old school, were you popular?" "No, I was never popular." "Well, in my opinion, your perfect to be popular." I get a weird feeling. Me, being popular? This must be a mistake' "Are you sure?" "Oh I'm sure." "All you need are dark shades, and to take your hair down." "Ok." "We can go to the mall to help you." Thanks," I reply. I can't believe I'm gonna be popular! After class ends, Riley introduces me to all her friends. She has a ton! They greet me politely, and are happy I'm joining their group. I thank Riley, and head to my next class. Class goes by slow. I'm not paying attention. I usually pay attention. Instead, I think about being popular. I wonder what it's like to be popular. I day dream and imagine myself making tons of friends and wearing a fabulous dress. Maybe this might be a good change for me. My mom has always wanted me to be more "social." The bell rings and I go to my bed class. My next few classes go by quick, and it's finally time for lunch. I walk to my locker and spot Riley. "Hailey," Riley calls. "Yes?," I reply. "Do you wanna sit at our table at lunch?" I think about it for a minuet. "Ok," I reply. "See you there,!" Riley tells me. I go to my locker and grab my lunch. I look at the map Tori gave me. I recognize the table Riley was talking about immediately. Victoria labeled it as "Beware Popular Girls Table." I ignore what Tori wrote and use the map to guide me to the cafeteria. I finally make it to the cafeteria. I enter and see Riley, and Tori telling me to sit with them. I don't know what to do. Riley pulls me over to her table. Tori comes running up to me and tells me to sit at her table. Riley argues and tells her that in sitting with her. I tell them to calm down, and that I would sit with Tori tomorrow. I sit next to Riley, and she starts to explain to me what being popular is being all about.
