Chapter 21: Leviathan Club

~Lou's POV~

"Where are all the bitches?" I asked, looking around the meeting room in the club.

"Somewhere down the road~" Helix said singingly.

"Oh shut up."

She sighed. "Bella and Don's probably at home or at the headquarters, Nova and John's still investigating and looking for more clues, Kai and Adrien's still MIA."

"What's up with the dads?" We heard a creaking sound coming from the door behind me.

"Ladies..." He said. "We need to talk."

"Adrien, where have you been?"

"Get in the portal. I'll explain later but we need to go...now." Helix and I exchanged glances and stood up to follow him.

I grabbed onto Helix's hand before going in the portal. "Ok...? What's wrong?"

"Look, we can't talk here. You NEED to trust me, please." I stared at him, my eyes asking him, judging his every move. I can't tell he was anxious of what's going on.

"Fine." I let go of Helix's arm and took her hand. "Let's go."

A second of shining bright light blinded us and the next thing we knew, the tiled floor of Bella and Adonis' mansion was before us.

"Adrien, what's going o-"

"LOU!" Bella came speeding up and grasped me on her arms. "Wait- where's Helix?"

"She was just-" I turned to point at her but no one was there. "Adrien, take me back!"

He quickly opened the portal back and the three of us went back at the headquarters. "Helix?! Love?!" A dark figure ran at the side, capturing my peripheral vision.

"Lou!" She screamed for help. Adrien teleported near the shadow but it was too late. "HELIXANDRIA!" I punched the wall where the shadow vanished into thin air with my girlfriend. "NO! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" I turned to face Adrien and Bella, now with Kai behind her.

"That was a shadow demon..." Kai responded.

Bella walked closer and rested her hand on my shoulder. "I think we should stay somewhere else to talk about this."

~Helix's POV~

"PUT ME DOWN, FOUL SMELLING SHIT!- OW!" My bottom felt as if it was cut open in half when the demon threw me down. Everything was black. Nothing was in sight but a new figure in front of me. "WHERE AM I?! WHERE ARE EVA AND RYDER?!"

"SILENCE!" A familiar voice ordered.

"Oh my Go-" A slight ray of light hit the face of the person in front of me. "Ryder?"

She smirked as she bent down to face me. "Missed me, darling?"

~Bella's POV~

"COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

"Lou, you have to calm do-"

"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! My GIRLFRIEND just got kidnapped by a demon and you're telling me to calm down?! What the fu-" I swung my hand to meet her face. It was a mistake.

"You're not listening. Let Kai explain first."

"We know about your meeting with Nova and John about the last clue you've had."

"What's this gotta do with the fact that Helix just got demonapped?!"

Kai sighed. "The thing is, this whole thing was a setup to get us to...fall apart."

"What like disbanding?" She said sarcastically. "Just get to the point."

"We think it's John." Adrien exclaimed. "...and we think Nova's in it too."

"No. We're not sure about her being in it. We- we have a footage from the crime scene and it's a possibility that one of the angels of Oriel might be onto us."

"Great. Just great." She looked around as if looking for someone. "Where's Don?"

"He's upstairs."

"Why don't your lil Mr. perfect join us here?" She asked.

"He's in Astral form."

"Everyone's down here talking about how our friend is a traitor and he's up there spying on someone?"

"This was all part of the plan. We know that the opposing side is capturing each one of us to be on their side. We figured that if we leave you both alone, they'll take either one of you so we needed Helix to be captured."

"You set us up?!"

"No! Adonis was astral projecting back at the headquarters, waiting for the demon to show up. When it did, he signaled us so Adrien could go grab one of you."

"We needed a portal of some kind to spy on them in Adonis' astral form." Kai added.

"So we let it take her." Adrien explained.

"You pieces of shit! You could've just told us!"

"We can't. That's the point. We needed you to be a hundred percent clueless because-"

"You knew I'll save her." Silence surrounded the mansion and everyone's sight was on various directions. "Fine. Give me the deets."

"Looks like Leviathan Squad is back."

~Eva's POV~

His scent, hugging my insides are breathtaking. His dreamy eyes still exploring my body, covered in white sheets. This moment, this place, this man...everything was perfect.

"I love you."

His eyes widened, surprised by what I just said. "I- I never imagined that you would say that to me...again."

"Loving you must be in my nature." We giggled and cuddled like teenagers on a bed. A lovely couple in a perfect place on a wonderful holiday.

I started picturing ourselves together at a sunny day at the beach. Right heat, fine white sand, dashing view, a perfect couple. A loving wife and a strong husband. I couldn't help but think, how could someone destroy a family with parents like us?

"Honey...?"

"Yes, milady?"

"I'm sorry to ruin this...I just really need to ask..."

"What is it?"

"Who killed her?"

"Who killed who?"

I hesitated for a second. I couldn't bear the gorgeous look on his face disappearing.

Ruining the moment, I continued. "Our daughter." His face went blank and his eyes went dark. I could tell how furious and frightened he is by our child's death...but I needed to know.

"Adrien Paige."
