Today is Thanksgiving and I'm as excited for the festive holiday as I was for Halloween.

The Colbert dinner table was decorated with tons of food. There was mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, gravy, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, green beans casserole, brussel sprouts, stuffing and the winner was the mouth watering, large golden turkey in the middle of the dinner table in all its glimmering glory. The turkey was just begging to be eaten and I would gladly do so.

"You're drooling." Tumi teased. I was seated on his left and Emerald was on his right. While Emerald's parents sat at the head of the table. The rest of the family members littered around the dinner table but the Hudson's were regrettably absent.

Emerald's mother said this was a time when she and her sister(Annalise Hudson) spent time with their husband's family instead of each other. Apparently this was also applicable to Christmas. So no Justin for Christmas as well. But on New Year's they spent it together.

Justin had point out blank refused to spend Thanksgiving without me. He suggested that we just spend Thanksgiving together, just the two of us. Although his offer was really tempting I had to decline. I had already promised Tumi I'd be there and he wouldn't take it well if I cancelled at the very last minute. Justin looked defeated when he placed a lingering kiss of my forehead. He wished me a joyful Thanksgiving and made me promise to call him before I sleep.

Justin has been overly affectionate since he said those words to my 'sleeping' self. He would come to my workplace to 'discuss' the magazine, which would normally end up with both our lips locked and careless caresses. Discussions have never felt so good.

Sometimes he would send flowers, letters or even tiny gifts during my lectures at university. The lecturer hates it but it gives the students something to talk about. On those days their attention will be on me for the entire lecture but I'd be too busy smiling like a madwoman to care.

The other time he sent me chocolate and coffee. I was surprised because he knew I didn't like these stuff but he sent it anyway. The letter that accompanied the goods said:

Dear Candy

This is an attempt to making you to be a normal human being who doesn't abhor chocolate or coffee. So I got you the best chocolate and coffee in the whole of New York.

P.S. I can feel you rolling your eyes and attempting to stop smiling. Stop it.

Your very handsome and lucky partner
Justin.

I laughed when I read the letter which caught the lecturer's attention. He gave me glare before he continued with his lesson. I discreetly sent Justin a text telling him to stop sending stuff in the middle of my lecture it's drawing unnecessary attention. To which he replied by saying my classmates should get a partner. Typical.

Other than that he came home early most of the time and on nights that he couldn't, I could feel him slip into the bed. He always pulled me into his chest and draped his arms around my waist, kissed my neck and wished me a good night. I love those small moments of affection. Because even though I can't see him and he thinks I'm asleep he still radiates affection and love.

"Oh shut up." I muttered to my brother. I don't think anyone is incapable of drooling at the food on the table, it looked too heavenly to resist.

Emerald's father took a fork and clinked it against his glass to draw the attention of the chatty table. Everyone quietened down.

"Let's join our hands together and say grace." Emerald's mother announced. I took Tumi's hand and the guy next to me who I have learnt is Emerald's cousin. The guy couldn't stop flirting with me the whole time even when I let him know that I'm dating someone. That seemed to have added fuel to fire.
