The day to the funeral drew nearer. It was only a a day until Gogo's funeral. A day left till we had to say goodbye to her forever or until we meet her again in another world.

The whole house was surrounded with people. It was a bit overcrowded and everyone was anticipating for my cousins arrival, those who were coming back from the army and there were about four or five of them. I could see my aunts and uncles were antsy awaiting the arrival of their sons and daughter after months of not seeing them. It is very sad that we had to meet on such a depressing note.

"What time are they arriving?" Aunt Georgina asked bouncingher leg up and down. Her one and only son was returning today and although she wanted to make it look like she was cool, calm and collected about it. She was anything but that.

"Anytime now, Georgina." Mama said hiding the smile on her face.

"They're here, They're here, They're here!" The children said as they raced into the room and then headed outside. Everyone sprung to their feet and raced out the door. I followed closely behind and stood by the doorway as I watched my cousins receive greetings from the family. I was just awaiting my turn, save the best for last ya know?

Justin came to stand next to me. "Why aren't you going to greet your cousins?"

Something about saving the best for last. I sent the text. He looked at it and chuckled. While we were looking at each other, I heard Naledi call out my name.

I turned my head to her and behold there stood my ex in all his glory. He was wearing the camo military uniform but without his jacket. Even a blind person could probably see the amount of sexy radiating off him. I wasn't blind, just temporarily mute.

My mouth opened on its own, "Hylton?" I whispered. I guess I'm not mute anymore. It's funny how all it took was seeing him to get my mouth to open, traitorous mouth.

Before I knew it I was running in his direction. When I crashed into him and he lifted me up, twirling me around a sense of familiarity hit me. I breathed him in and didn't want to let go. I hadn't seen him in years and even though I don't want to admit it, I missed him dearly.

I don't know why but a stream of tears escaped my eyes and then came the ugly sobs.

"You're back." I sobbed as I clung onto him.

"Yes, I'm here baby. I'm here." He said as he rubbed my back. He stood there rubbing my back while I cried my eyes out. I could feel a dozen of eyes on eyes but I didn't care. I needed this.

"You want to get out of here?" Hylton asked me and I nodded. He picked me up bridal style and took me towards one of my cousin's car and slid me in the passenger seat. He buckled up my seat and he went to his side.

We drove away from home into a direction which I knew too well. I chuckled when we turned the corner into the destination.

"We're not allowed here, you know?" I said to Hylton. He killed the engine of the car and turned to me with his handsome smile.

"That didn't stop us from coming here when we were still in high-school, did it?" He cross-questioned. He got out of the car and came to open my door. He offered me a hand and I took it.

"We're not in high-school anymore. We could get arrested for trespassing on private property." I argued.

We were at the edge of a cliff which was poorly fenced. The sign that had "NO TRESPASSING!" on it was now a piece of cardboard with a wire attached to the gate. As far as I knew the owner of the land died years before Hylton and I found the place and his children inherited it. From the looks of things they haven't been doing a good job taking care of it at all, it just looks abandoned... but even so you can never be too sure. And I don't fancy going to jail.
