𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 | 𝖣𝗋𝖾𝖺𝗆 𝗌𝗆𝗉 𝗑 𝖿𝖾𝗆!𝗈𝖼

Phew...

Third person pov:

Avery got home, immediately going into her room to avoid any lectures from her mother.

She layed in bed, blankly staring at her ceiling.

She decided she would try and take a nap.

Try and relax her mind for awhile.

She closed her eyes, creating random scenarios in her head to help her fall asleep.

After 10 minutes of doing that, she fell into a deep slumber.

A much needed one, seeing that she only got an hour of sleep last night due to her mind that never stopped running with useless thoughts.

....

A streak of warm sunlight shone on Avery's face, awakening her from her peaceful slumber.

She rubbed her eyes a little, adjusting to whatever light that was in the room.

She sat up, grabbing her phone that was previously set on her nightstand.

She checked through her socials for any new notifications.

She noticed that one of her favorite youtubers tommyinnit had posted a new video on he's vlog channel, Tom Simons, called " We Joined The Military..."

She watched that video, giggling and laughing at all the funny bits.

She then proceeded to watch a few more videos, prolonging getting up and facing her mom downstairs.

A few videos became at least 20 videos.

And in a blink of an eye, the warm sunlight outside was turned into an abyss of darkness.

The only thing illuminating it was the moon, stars and street lights.

Avery was too energized to go back to bed. She decided to go down and have something to eat.

As much as she hated it, she didn't want to go to sleep later with an empty stomach.

She opened her door and headed down the stairs, her fuzzy socks smoothly gliding against the marble floor. She hoped that her mother was either asleep or in her room.

To her luck, her mother was asleep on the couch.

Avery tiptoed past her mother, even tho her socks weren't going to make any noise.

She got to the kitchen and opened the fridge.

There was an apple there that Avery decided to take. She wasn't very hungry so that would do.

She tiptoed back to the stairs again, going up and bee-lining for her room.

A creak sound from the couch alarmed her.

She looked down to see her mother getting up.

Her eyes widened.

Trying not to make any sound, she quietly ran up the stairs, making sure not to trip in the process.

She got to her room, quickly closing the door without slamming it.

"Phew", Avery breathed out.

In the past few books that I read, the authors kept on apologizing for short chapters which were 900 words. IF THOSE ARE SHORT THAN ARE MINE MICRO SHORT OR SOMETHING??????
