She's fine

Ranboo's pov:

As all 7 of us leaned against Dream's car, I started to worry. Just, what if officers arrived too late? What if we didn't call officers fast enough? What if she's hurt?

My leg mindlessly bounced up and down at a quick rate, mind spiraling into a state of panic and worry.

"Ranboo? You there man?", Wilbur called while tapping on my shoulder.

"What? Huh? Yeah?", I zoomed back into reality. I took a deep breath and started.

"What if Drista's right Wilbur?  What if she's not okay? What if we were too late? What if the police were too late? What if she's hur-", I rambled on, breath quickening, chest heaving, mind slowly losing itself from reality, slowly spiraling into a panic attack.

"Ranboo! Ranboo! Look at me, okay. Deep breaths, in and out. Inhale and exhale", Wilbur tried to calm me down.

I came back to reality and followed his instructions, taking deep breaths.

"Listen, as Tommy said, Avery's smart. She somehow stayed alive that day alone even tho it was a few hours. She didn't get kidnapped alone, she didn't die. She'll be fine. We'll see what the officers say when they come out"

"Alright", I replied.

"Hey big man, Avery will be fine. Just relax a bit. And even if she's dead, I'm giving you permission to be- OW", Tubbo got cut off by Lani elbowing him in the stomach.

"You're not being reassuring Tubbo. Do Ranboo and me a favor by not saying anything else please"

"Fine fine", Tubbo reluctantly agreed, clutching his stomach in pain.

I let out laugh at this. Even if she herself was worrying, Lani somehow always managed to lighten the mood a bit.

And as all of us fell into light conversation, everyone trying to distract each other from the situation, I caught something in the corner of my eye. I turned my head to see 4 officers marching out of the house.

"Guys, look", Tubbo, who had also noticed after I just suddenly stopped talking, called out.

Everyone's head immediately shot to the front door, also standing up straight, waiting for some sign of Avery.

And seconds later another officer came out, no Avery in view.

And we all knew that only 5 officers went in.

Everyone's head went down, but only me and Drista stood firm, not moving.

And that's when she emerged from the house, looking around before spotting us.

"GUYS! AVERY!", Drista yelled out before rushing over to Avery at the speed of light.

I immediately followed her towards Avery, as well as everyone else when they finally processed what Drista had previously yelled.
