Avery's pov:

"We're here"

"Oh", I said. And just at this moment all my worry from earlier had came circling back in my head.

"Hey, don't worry. I promise everybody will love you. Trust me", Ranboo said assuringly.

I gave a subtle nod and followed him out of the car.

Ranboo lead the way to the front door, me trailing behind.

"You ready?"

"Yeah. At least I think I am"

"If you get scared just tap on my arm twice"

"Thank you"

Ranboo gave a warm smile before slowly opening the door, entering right after.

I slowly followed, seeing a few people in the living room.

"Hey guys", Ranboo said making everybody turn their head.

Everybody meaning Niki, Puffy, Wilbur, Karl, Phil and Jack.

Various forms of greetings were returned before all attention was on me.

"Who's this?", Jack asked.

"She seems really familiar, like I think I've seen her somewhere", Niki says while looking at me.

"Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Niki", Puffy said.

Ranboo gave me a warm smile before saying, "Guys meet Avery, Avery meet everybody. I think you know their names?"

"I do", I said.

Everybody greeted me before going back to what they were doing.

"Hi Avery. I'm Niki, nice to meet you", Niki said after getting up from the couch, greeting me again.

"Hi Niki. Nice to meet you too", I said, flashing a small smile.

"Uhhh hold on", Niki thinks for a moment.

"By any chance did you go to the nearby mall within the past week?"

"I have"

"And did you go with an older woman?"

"Yea, I did. I uh went with my mom"

"I think she's the one we bumped into, Niki", Puffy spoke also getting up from the couch.

"Yea, it was me. That's how Drista recognized me and how I ended up here", I spoke with a sheepish smile.

"Then if you don't mind me asking, how did you end up meeting them and just fully agreeing to follow them here? Won't your mother be worried sick at your house?", Niki asked with a concerned tone.

"About that", I rubbed my neck before explaining the whole story.

"I'm so sorry", Niki said towards me.

"Yeah, your mom's messed up", Puffy added on.

By this time Ranboo had already disappeared and the three of us were sitting on the couch.

"So you're supposed to stay the night here right?"

"Dream agreed to it so yeah I think so", I replied to Puffy's question.

"Why don't you just stay here forever? Like you don't have anywhere to go, plus it'll be nice to have another kid in the house.", Wilbur who had joined the conversation awhile ago chirped.

"I don't know. I'll just be an extra burden"

"No, you will not. Like I said it'll be great to have another kid here. You got the other five to like you that fast, your special. They hardly ever get along with people that fast AND invite them to their house by the first night", Wilbur added on.
