Back To The Chaos

Avery's pov:

And I immediately rushed over.

At the same time I spotted them, Drista and Ranboo had also noticed me.

And after I heard the distorted shouting of Drista yelling some other word and my name after, she came rushing over to my direction, with Ranboo barely a few steps behind her. And once everyone else had processed whatever Drista said, they came running right behind the other two.

"AVERY! AVERY!", Drista yelled out. First time seeing someone except from Wilbur outrun Ranboo, I thought while rushing down the stairs, almost falling.

And within seconds, Drista wrapped me in the biggest hug she possibly could, squeezing me so tight that I became short of breath, previously running didn't help either.

"Holy mother of god Ave, you're okay, you're alive, you're not dead", Drista whispered, voice shaking. "I'm fine. I didn't die surprisingly, I'm alive"

And once I was let go, I was immediately wrapped in a bear hug, but this time I was getting lifted in the air slightly. And I instantly recognized the hug, Ranboo. He's hugs always felt different, always felt grounding. I squeezed back with all energy left in my body.

"Oh my god Avery", he muttered. "I'm fine Boo, I'm perfectly fine aside from possible trauma", I said with a chuckle. He let out a laugh, sort of mixed with a sigh of relief.

And I was then jumped on by Tommy and Tubbo, they quite literally launched onto me but thankfully I didn't fall. "YOU'RE FINEEEE", Tommy dragged out. Tubbo let out a softer "yeah"

"I'm fine you guys but ouch, y'all didn't need to launch onto me that hard"

"You idiot, you scared the living hell out of all of us", Lani said while giving a really comforting hug. And once I let go, came the swarm of curses by the one and only Dream.

"You little godsent son of a fuck. You scared all of us shitless, we thought you were fucking dead. We were so fucking scared", he cursed out as he moved forward and wrapped me in a bear hug, practically picking me up too.

"I'm fine Dream. And I'm very honored that I was referred to as a godsent. And trust me, I thought I wouldn't see you guys again", I smiled in comfort as the man squeezed me equally as tight as Drista. Guess the strength runs in the family.

"I can't breath", I let out as I vigorously tapped on Dream's shoulder. "Sorry sorry", he said as he placed me back on the ground.

"Averyyyyyyy", Wilbur called out as he, unlike the other two tall men, bent down and wrapped me in a hug. "I am SO glad that you're fine"

I didn't say anything back, just hugged him back in absolute relief.

"What even happened in there?", Drista asked.

I let go of Wilbur before responding. "Long story but to slightly shorten it, basically my mom told me that we were going on a 'road trip' , and she told me to go pack some clothes, me being stupid believed her, packed my stuff and as I was going down the stairs to find her, I hear her mutter adoption centers near me. And so I went and locked myself in the bathroom, called Wilbur and blah blah. And my mom was so close to finding and killing me when the police arrived. Insisted she open the door or not they'll break it down. Next thing I know, officers were upstairs searching through rooms. I gave it my last, went out the bathroom, found an officer blah blah and we're here", I finished explaining with a smile on my face because I was happy I was alive.

Clearly no one else had the same thought.

Everyone looked like their jaw had dropped to the floor, completely speechless, faces painted with absolute shock and disbelief.

"What? Why your faces like that?", I ask, clueless to why they were acting like that. To me, yes it was scary, very scary, but still not too bad.

Again, they clearly did not have the same thought.

"AVERY! WAS IT NOT SCARY TO YOU? I WOULD'VE BEEN TRAUMATIZED", Ranboo exclaimed.

"Who told you it was not scary to me and who told you I'm not traumatized? I mean it was my own mother that tried killing me. She's a lunatic"

"I- let's just move on from here. Ranboo, Lani, get everyone to the car. You are also in charge while me and Dream here will go talk to the officers", Wilbur spoke up, referring to Ranboo at the end.

"Roger, I'm on it", Ranboo said as he saluted and Lani just nodded.

And Tommy being Tommy, "WHY'D YOU ASK THEM AND NOT ME?"

"Ranboo's more responsible and older than you, that's why. Plus I trust him more"

"THEN YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR LANI"

"I do actually. Despite the fact she is younger than you, I again, trust her more than I trust you to make sure everyone gets in the car"

"FOR FUCKS SAKE WILBURRRRR"

If Tommy wasn't like this, I would assume it either wasn't Tommy or he got possessed.

With one last grumble from Tommy, everyone started to walk towards the car, of course with Tommy still mumbling curses under his breath.

"Ok, as I'm in charge, Tommy, Tubbo and Lani in the very back. Drista, me and Ave in the middle"

"WHYYYYYYYYYYYY, I'VE GOT NO LEG SPACE THEREEEEEEEE"

"Deal with it Tommyinnit", Drista said.

"Shut up"

"Alright chilllll, maybe everyone doesn't need to get in so fast, we can chill outside first before Dream and Will come back, right?", I tried to calm the annoyed blonde.

"Of course", Ranboo replied.

After awhile, Dream and Wilbur finally came back.

"Hey, um so the officers said that the station will be charging your mom with attempted murder and assault. And they also said that temporarily, you're under my custody until things get settled properly", Dream spoke up, explaining the situation.

"Amazing, top tier shit. Finally she's getting arrested", I sighed.

"So basically Avery, you've got daddy Dream now", Wilbur joked.

"Fuck off, she's not my daughter"

"But you've got temporary custody of her, soooo in a wayyyy, you are her dad"

"For the last time Wilbur Soot, fuck off. Say anything else like that and you're walking home", an annoyed Dream grumbled.

"Jeez, sorry"

"Alright, let's get home before Wilbur decides to say anything else stupid and Dream yells and they start arguing like an old married couple. Remember Clay, you've got your boyfriend at home waiting for you", Drista called out before quickly running and jumping in the car to avoid getting attacked by her brother.

"Okayyy, chillll again, Dream, your focus now is go home without killing anyone. I'd appreciate if you could do that please"

"Fine. You two are lucky Avery is here. If not I would've tackled you both by now", Dream said as he got in the car and glared at the two.

"Thank you very much, now everyone, in the car"

Everyone piled in and we started making our way back to the house.
