Regrouping after the short but deadly encounter with the Unbreakable God that rendered multiple body parts of Y/N destroyed or burned, the two climb their way up the entrance the Queen created. Begrudgingly taking the spider Wakaba along to explain the purpose of "Calamity in the natural order, she does just that all the way upwards. Explaining what will happen to him upon death, the blue energy, and school events before she was reincarnated, Y/N continues climbing up. Grabbing the ledge and pulling with only one arm, they both finally reached their goal of getting one more step closer to the surface. Rolling his shoulder back and continuing to walk through the upper sanctum, Wakaba resumes the conversation and mentions one final piece of information she only got a tiny glimpse of.
Wakaba:-and then it said something about an...angel? I couldn't really finish that section all the way to the end and was focused on the world ending tidbit.
Y/N: So THAT'S why that Gulie guy said "Don't die". Still a douch even if I now know the reason...
It seems I really DID open the Mummy's tomb. There were so many red flags you might as well have had one of those airport flag guys signaling me.
"Another problem, for another me, in another time"
You Ignorant Fool!! You've doomed us both! Think past Y/N, THINK!! If there's an evolution literally titled "Calamity" how about you not be a lazy dips-wait, that would make ME the lazy DS......nah that could never be me. Speaking of NOT dooming myself, I should have been doomed right there and then earlier. I'm basically a walking, talking extinction event...which does sound pretty rad with the only possible negative being the whole "Everything will die and turn to stone". So why that Gulie guy stop? These gods know if I die and if they aren't there to immediately dispose of my body everything goes to rock and dust so why leave me alive? I wouldn't even keep me alive! He left me live for a purpose so what?
Thinking about everything he's seen and heard with his encounter with his species god, Y/N unsurprisingly comes up with nothing. With so little time interacting and with most of the words he DID say being in an otherworldly language, it would be impossible for anyone to discern his reasoning.
Aside from knowing he's the god of dragons and 4 overall meaningless words I know nothing about this douch, not his allegiance, his history, motive...nothing. I know more about that D women than the literal god of my species! What I DO know is that we will either meet 2 ways, he tries to kill me or he doesn't try to kill me. Plain and simple.
Continuing to explore through the upper sanctum, if they encountered anything hostile as they are in this injured and immobile states it would be grave trouble. Luckily as they soon learned with their level came an unofficial protection. Running away as soon as they remotely got close, all the inhabitants wouldn't dare approach them and the ones that did were to weak to even speak of. Getting to a good isolated area shortly after getting to the sanctum, Y/N takes Wakaba off his head and sets her down.
Y/N: There...now how long will it take to read the rest of Calamity's description?
Wakaba: Well if I rest and get back into tip top shape it'll be done in a flash!
Being her energetic self to try calming the subtle but intense resentment Y/N was giving off toward her, it did nothing to stave it off to any extent. The two had completely different feelings for the situation at hand and the other which conflicted. With Wakaba being somewhat excited meeting someone like her with a bit of nervousness, Y/N just wanted to leave and have nothing to do with her. Frustrated he has to wait for her to recover MP to use wisdom, Y/N gives a slight scoff but ultimately accepts the reality of their predicament. He doesn't like to admit it but even he knows no amount of complaining can make an exhausted horse pull.
