In a vast and reaching darkness I stood without no body. It was a familiar darkness, one that everyone would occasionally have. It was a intimating expanse but for some unconscious I knew I had no reason at all to fear it. Time felt none existent and I just floated in that darkness perfectly content on doing nothing. Drifting a white light pops into existence far away. Immediately clashing with the pure black background the light sticks out like a sore thumb. Inexplicably it starts to get closer and a I can hear quiet, wretched screeches off somewhere else. Completely ignoring it all my attention is focused on the entrancing sight before me. Getting up right next to me it starts to change and expand. Reaching out two blade like appendages form in the front with six more all around. Two circular shapes form, one big with a gorgeous pattern and the other small right behind the blades. All over the small one pinkish buds form all around. Blinking multiple times the glowing dog sized creature looks up straight at me and tilts it's head.
Y/N: A white...spider...?
The wretched screeches get louder and the hideous beast forcibly pulls on my body hard, sending me falling to the ground below. Having the morning headache plus the fall I reflexively let out a weak groan. Rubbing the back of my head a shirt and pants are thrown at my face and back. Lifting the shirt above my right eye I see the creature that's been pestering my entire life.
Mom: You Need To Get Up!!
Annoyed I slowly climb back on my bed using the quilt as a handle.
Y/N: It's a Sunday you crazy lady. Let the tired and overworked teenager rest in peace...
Mom: It's Monday and Danielle is waiting for you outside. If you don't hurry both of you will be late.
Y/N: Yeah and that's what you said three weeks ago and seven weeks before that and how did it turn out? We spent 1/4 of our breaks on bikes you senile women...
Turning the corner and peeking in a tall man comes into view and waves up a small clock.
Dad: As rare as it is your mother is telling the truth for once. It's 7:30 and you got 40 minutes left bud.
............
Y/N: FFFFFFFFFFUU-!!!
--------
Outside in the field right next to their house a girl waits tapping her foot against the hard concrete wall with two bikes at her side. Getting anxious she starts tapping her foot faster and looks at her watch.
Danielle: Where is he?
Just as she was contemplating on leaving without him her brother he comes bursting through the door running like a madman. Zipping up his sweater he runs past his sister and grabs his bike.
Danielle: Took you long enou-!
Y/N: Ride like crazy now, chew and spit me out later!
Finished checking everything he starts running with his bike in tow and then jumps on it, riding fast away.
Danielle: Hey How Many Times I Have To Tell You!? Sweaters Aren't Part Of The School Dress C-!
Y/N: Who Cares What They Think!! Now Come On Or I'll Leave You In The Dust!!
Having her brother leave her behind and telling her to hurry up when she was the one waiting his sister clutches both of her palms tight.
Danielle: That insufferably arrogant...
Grabbing her own bike she runs for a few moments to build up speed and jumps on her bike. Inside they're house on the second floor they're parents watch them ride away on the concrete path towards the city.
