Chapter 6: A Piggy Back Ride

After traveling for half a week in the magma layer of the Elroe Labyrinth, the dragon and spider duo make it halfway to the exit upwards. Having been in this environment for long enough, the white spider has gained heat resistance and no longer needs to be kept under the dragon's wings to survive. Feeling comfortable though and liking the feeling of being on top of the world she has tried getting back on but is knocked off every single time by Y/N. Eating, leveling up, and language teaching together they have gotten a little less confrontational at each other so Y/N just stays silent like a cat with a dog pup bothering them. Having developed a routine over the past few days, they unsurprisingly once again find themselves on a 2v1 with a Elroe Gunerave lava eel. Fighting others before and leveling up 3-5 and 4-9 respectfully, the sure fire strategy starts all over again. In a lava pool surrounded by platforms, the eel fires a barrage of fireballs at Y/N. Using his wings as a shield and powering them up with a skill, he takes explosion after explosion head on. Not as big or powerful as the Catfishe's, it well makes up for frequency and speed. While Y/N keeps the eel focused on him a certain white ball makes her move above. Having been physically thrown to the ceiling by Y/N beforehand, the spider creates floating balls of poison in the air and let's gravity pull them down. Continuing to attack Y/N, the poison balls strike the eel one by one, slowly seeping into his skin. Getting pincer attacked from above the eel looks for the source and sees the spider stuck to the ceiling. Noticing herself found out she gives a carefree smile and points behind the eel. Realizing he took his attention off, the eel rapidly turns around and sees the dragon has already jumped at him. Holding a giant pillar, Y/N swings it like a baseball bat and direct impacts the eel. Sent flying away, the eel launches out of the pool and violently slams against a wall. Breaking the pillar in half by the strike, Y/N starts falling into the lava pool the eel was in moments ago. Putting the pillar below him, Y/N slides against the lava like using a surfboard. Stretching out both his arms to balance himself, the pillar comes to a slow halt. As all momentum goes away the pillar starts to sink into the deep lava. Trapped on the platform sinking, Y/N sees the eel recover and angerly look at him. Keeping surprisingly calm Y/N motions one finger for the eel to come at him. Responding in kind to his invitation, the eel raises his head up and energy builds around it's neck. Taking that as the signal Y/N raises both hands up and as he does the eel spits a fast moving fireball at him. Launching towards him, his hands get webbed up from above and pulls him out of the way. Hitting the little platform he was on it explodes into a dozen pieces and what was left sinks below. Above the white spider holds onto Y/N with the web tied around a stalactite to support handling his weight. Swinging him around the pool counter clockwise and gaining speed, the webs go up in flames. Using a skill so they wouldn't burn immediately it could only buy him a few seconds but that's all he needs. Coming close to the eel and the fire about to reach his hands, Y/N extends his claws cutting the webs. Falling and now on a direct collision course with the eel, Y/N's body goes up in flames making him a cannonball. Seeing the dragon approaching the eel spits another fireball which connects with him in midair creating a explosion. Powering through it and coming out of the smoke, Y/N lands right into the eel's belly. the intense momentum transferring, the eel get's violently launched back and body digs itself into the wall breaking it. Getting launched back on his end, Y/N land and scrapes against the hard ground. Head spinning from the impact he looks up at the eel who now has a big burn mark in it's chest. Coughing up blood the eel breaks itself free from the wall and barely makes himself stand up. Seeing the eel's state, Y/N casually stands up without worry and cracks his knuckles while walking towards it.

Y/N: You may be good long range but when it's a one on one physical brawl with me...

Seeing the dragon approaching, the bruised eel tries to get a good tail swipe in but Y/N easily catches it. Completely baffled the eel tries pulling away but with no luck. Smiling the dragon digs his claws into the eel's skin and picks it up. Using the incredible power that comes with [Wraith] Y/N shoulder slams the eel behind him. Destroying the ground and making some magma underneath shooting up, the eel's body bounces up a few feet. Unable to move it's broken body, Y/N let's go and walks up to around the middle of him. Picking it up again, Y/N body suplexes the eel into another wall creating an explosion of dust. Only slightly stronger than the snakes he fought and with the additional ability of fire, they aren't that different so he mops the floor with it. On the verge of fainting with it's injuries, Y/N slaps his hands together and goes up to it. Grabbing it again, Y/N digs his claws much deeper this time and uses his strength to pull in both directions. Making it stretch beyond what it was suppose two many muscles snap and break by the force. It's flesh stretching and scales breaking, the eel let's out a weak howling scream as his body is teared apart. Bones snapping within, the eel feels like there are razors scraping and piercing it's insides. Picking it up over his head, Y/N digs his claws in deeper and pulls with all his strength. Getting violently ripped in two, a shower of blood comes forth and comes down like rain. Panting with the blood coming down on him, Y/N looks to the top half and sees the eel twitch in it's last moments. Head slamming against the ground and falling dead, Y/N drags away the two halves out of the pool of blood. Dropping both parts Y/N walks a little distance away and sits down. Taking a little breather, Y/N wipes the blood of his face in disgust.
