I stared at myself in the mirror one last time. Was it really necessary in life to get married? Specifically to him? The great arrogant but hot Akilan Saxena.

Nope.

Not at all.

I could live with being single with my imaginary boyfriends and Dylan O'Brien. Only if I had never saved his dad, which I know kind of sounds evil. I mean doesn't he have a million bodyguards or something. What a tragedy I was the only one there at the time.

Here I am dressed in a nice maroon lehenga with jewelry ready to get engaged today. Synch! But I don't have a choice other than to get married to this guy I'm really scared of.

It's just karma. Plain old karma.

We eventually got to the Saxena's house. Actually it was more like a huge mansion. Mrs. Saxena invited us into the house and we were all greeted to a nice smell in their house. It was very welcoming and... comfy.

"Hello!" Mr. Saxena exclaimed as he saw all of us sitting on the couch.

"Our daughter looks pretty today." His wife commented looking at me. I felt glad or maybe something other sort of satisfaction at how she called me her daughter.

"We are blessed to start a relationship with you." My father said.

Out of nowhere the room started to quiet down and the hot dashingly scary man walked in. It was no other person. My future husband. He was wearing a nice black and white tuxedo and his hair was nicely combed with a silver watch on his left arm.

"This is our son Akilan." his dad said. A fake smile overcame Akil's face. I didn't know what to do. Should I hide my face with a newspaper, or maybe I could take my chances and run out their door.

Instead I smiled like a fool.

"Hello Uncle and Auntie." he said in a very sweet angelic voice.

"Shall we start then" my mother asked.

All the parents walked over to the living room leaving me and Akil behind. We walked silently behind them. I was too afraid to look at his face so I stared at the floor. There were lots of people in the house and everyone was staring at the both of us. My mom handed me a ring and I slowly walked back over to Akil.

Akil grabbed my finger roughly and slide a diamond ring into my finger. Then -as if I had a choice- slid my diamond ring that my parents had bought for him into his finger.

"They're engaged!" everyone exclaimed. Everyone turned to eat the food. Mr. Saxena walked over to us, wrapping his arms around both of us.

"Why don't you show her around?" he suggested.

"I don't think tha-"

"It was an order son." with that he left.

Without question Akil started leading me up to his room.

"You don't really have to-"

"This is all your fault." he stated coldly.

"Yes it's my fault. It's all my fault that I decided to save your dad from an accident." I hissed.

"Don't raise your voice at me princess."

"You could have done something to change your dad's mind."

"Same thing with you."

"He's your dad... plus he didn't give us a choice."

"That old man..." he cursed. He started to make an aggressive approach down the stairs back to his dad but instinct took over me and I grabbed his hand.
