Fast forward 1 month...
Today was that terrible day I knew was coming soon. But I still had hopes that we could somehow get out of the mess.
Yes. It is my marriage day.
Vatsala weds Akilan.
Mrs. Saxena aka Vasu
My mind daydreamed at how much my life would change after this one day. I was wearing a red combo with a gold stitching saree. My jewelry was all matching and my hair was in a huge bun with flowers surrounding it.
"GOD you look so pretty Vasu!" Priya screamed. She was wearing a lehenga and Landon was wearing a silk shirt and formal pants. Jaz was fixing up my hair and pinning more hair pins into my hair. Talk about painful.
All the so called joyous laughter ended when my mom rushed screaming at our faces to move and get into the car. We all excitedly got into the car, I started to feel.... Sad? Geetha chechi sat with me in the back as Priya put on some rap music on the radio. I mean who plays rap to a wedding? This anyways gave me and Chechi time to talk.
"I know you don't want to get married to Akil..." she trailed while rubbing my hand gently, "To make matters worse Varun can't make it because of my family emergency."
"I understand Chechi, no need to worry about me." I replied smiling.
The whole wedding was happening at the Saxena's house. There house *ahem* I mean mansion is enough to fit the whole town. When we arrived the entire family was waiting for us there. There were also a lot of guests including people I knew and people I was seeing for the first time in my life.
After getting married.
"Get your dang stuff and meet me inside." he ordered. I let out a grunt. I was no fool to have thought he would carry my bags inside for me. Turns out he owns his own beach side villa. This also means both his parents nor mine will be able to watch over me. I was on my own.
I hauled my like 3 heavy suitcases and a handbag into the huge place. There I was greeted by a guy. He seemed to panic once he saw me.
"Ma'am I'll take you bags." he insisted and took my things away. Afterwards I wandered into what I think is the living room. Akil was sitting there on his phone. I rolled my eyes. All of a sudden he got up and called for someone.
"L'shana can you take her to her room? I'm leaving for a business trip." he yelled. A woman in her mid thirties walked to me. She had long chestnut hair and a friendly smile. Akil had already left the house.
"Hello Mam I'm L'shana the housekeeper." she introduced, "Let me take you to your room."
"Please call me Vatsala, actually Vasu."
We walked down a row of doors eventually stopping to one which was mine now.
"This is your room, the room across is Akil sir's."
I walked in. It was a pretty huge area compared to my room back at home. I caught the guy I saw earlier placing my things.
"You can leave that there." I said smiling, "What's your name?"
"Akash Ma'am."
"Please stop calling me mam. I feel like an old lady," I complained. "My name is Vasu. Nice to meet you."
I stuck out my hand for him. He seemed pretty surprised at the way I was communicating with him. Both L'shana and Akash seemed like very nice people.
"Would you like anything?" L'shana asked.
"Actually yes, a supply of Ice cream, I don't like when I run out." I said with a wink.
