Vasu

It was Friday evening and Akil decided to tell me what nonsense I had done while I was drunk. I didn't remember anything after I started taking shots. Now thinking about it, it was a terrible idea. Pretty embarrassing too.
"You called me Dylan and you called me a grumpy man." he chuckled.
"This is why I chose not to remember what happened last night." I ate my nutella, "Remind me never to do that again."
"I'm going to go do some work so don't get into trouble while I'm gone-"
"Actually I have homework and I need your help again."
"Do it yourself, stop being the younger sibling." he scolded.
"You don't even know what it's like to have a sibling in the first place. Don't even try using that against me!" I hissed.
For some reason, instead of contouring against me, I noticed all the happiness from his face drain away.
"Did I say something wrong?" I asked. He didn't respond, instead he walked urgently to his room and slammed the door shut. I did say something wrong.
Staying in a quiet house with a mad man on the loose seemed like a terrible idea so I decided to go out with my friends to Starbucks. I was sitting at a table outside waiting for all of them when I saw Harji, Jaz, Priya, Landon, and Arun. It was actually the first time I was seeing Harji after he technically broke my arm.
"What's up!" Harji said awkwardly trying to make sure I wasn't mad at him.
"My anger levels."
"What's wrong Vasu?" Jaz asked.
"I was having a small argument with Akil," I emphasized, "Then he got mad and stopped talking to me which does not fit in with his attitude."
"He's probably just mad at you or something." Priya suggested Landon nodded his head approvingly.
I took a sip of my cappuccino, "It's not like that, he's mad at me but he's more mad than usual."
"What exactly did you say?" Harji asked.
"I don't remember."
"C'mon tell me."
"I think I said something about not having siblings to him when he last stopped talking to me."
"You shouldn't have said that." Arun concluded.
"Why I mean I have no idea what you guys are getting to here."
"His sister died when he was still in middle school." Arun explained.
"I had no idea he had a sister."
"You know Hemambika?" Harji asked.
"You mean that super hot model!" Priya exclaimed.
"You know the one in that magazine." Jaz explained to me.
"Wait- Oh my gosh that's his sister?" I asked surprised.
"Yes, that's her. That's why he's shutting you off because you brought up that subject..." Harji paused, "She meant everything to him. He's pursuing a life in modeling and fame because he's following his sister's footsteps. Everything his parents threaten him about is using his sister's house."
"I didn't know."
"We know." Priya soothed.
"I'm gonna go talk to him, thanks guys." I waved to all of them and quickly got home.
