Letter to My Darling

Dear my darling,

Now don't you see,
How you would be nothing
If you didn't have me

I am your soul,
your love, your other half,
the fire to your coal.

And you couldn't sell me,
no matter the price
I know this, don't think twice.

Which only makes you upset
But I like you best mad
Because then I have my script and set

Of an emotion beauty;
The damsel in distress
such a pretty sight to see, (well at least for me).

And the heroic man
Who saved her from this distress
Just before she could put herself to rest.

Don't you see darling,
I'm the limelight of this show
You'll follow me around

I'll be the only one to glow
For I'll take you with me
Only to leave when I'm done

But you're still stick around
Because you think you need me,
And you think I'm the one.

I won't stop you,
Cause for me it's just a game
I won't be the one

Who in the end, will be faced
with all this anger,
All this pain.

Loved always,
From the boy who used you for a show.
