Fork-road of Love

You say we're similar,
But we're far from the same.

You crave light, a morning with coffee and smiles;
I lavish in the dark, staring drunkenly at my bathroom tiles.

You've lived long with a tranquil bliss, having only peace in mind;
While I've fought a war from the start, and desperately wished I'd run out of time.

You'll say that you'll want love and tenderness;
I'll only care for pain and weakness.

You'll try and get closer,

 but I'll only push you away.

Because we're so far from the same;

 eventually, you'll leave and I'll stay.
