Kiss me

Chapter 8 - the accident

I didn't drink much vodka because me being the responsible one didn't want to get a ticket for drink driving.
But also because I needed to keep my stupid friends from doing stupid things, like jumping off the cliff or driving the car or something that could get them killed or injured.

I was sitting on the hood of the car with all the other girls around me dancing to 'one last time' by Ariana Grande. They were the funniest people when they are drunk or tipsy, Steph she cries about the stupidest things then laughes because she's crying, it's so funny.

"Come dance with us!!" Sarah squealed.

"Yeah come on!" Steph said smiling.

I smiled and sighed, and jumped off the hood and did some pretty wicked dance moves that actually looked like I was trying to get a bee away from my face mixed in with some Kung-fu.
I laughed at myself, I was having the time of my life, only if it could last forever.

After about an hour of having extreme fun with the most amazing people in the world we decided to head home.

It was 4:15 in the afternoon when we were on the highway home. The traffic was average for this time in the afternoon, the sky was still bright but it was a bit over cast and windy.

I was driving the car while Steph was sitting in the passenger seat and Olivia, Sarah and Lucy in the back seat.
We were jamming to a song, when Steph Lucy said,

"Turn it up, this is an awesome song."

I did as I was told and turned it up.
Another 10 minutes on the road and we came to an intersection and stopped at the red light.
When it turned green to go, I pushed the accelerator slightly to go forward.

I could feel a strong force on the side of the car, my hands few off the steering wheel. The car started to roll, I started to scream and my friends did too. That's all I remember before I blacked out.

I woke up, upside down, my vision is blurry and I've got a shooting pain all over my body. I turn to the right to see Steph unconscious, I panic and try to wake her up but she doesn't, I start to cry.
I try and rotate my body around to try and see the other girls but I was in to much pain.
I hear sirens in the background getting closer and closer, I try and look out the window but I couldn't see anything.
I start to scream for help.
I feel the car jerk and then my door came off, I could see police cars, ambulances and fire trucks everywhere.
A man came in to my sight and he had a worried look on his face. He turned around and yelled to his fellow teammates,

"Here! One of them is awake!" He turned back around and looked me, "Your going to be alright but your going to have to do me a favour and try to unbuckle your seatbelt for me. Can you do that?"

I move my arm so I could unbuckle my seatbelt, I do it but it takes effort.
Before I could hit the ground in an awkward position the man repositioned my body so he could carry me out and put me in a stretcher to go to a hospital.
I get pulled out but I retrain so I could go and help my friends but he wouldn't let go.

"Miss you need to go to hospital, you have been in a car crash."

"No I can't go yet! My friends!" My eyes start to water again and I'm crying, still trying to get to the car.

"We will get them out but first you need to stop fighting."

I stopped fighting him. He hoisted me up into a stretcher so I could be taken away. Everything seemed to move in slow motion.
I could see where the car got hit, I saw everything, the hood crumbled, the glass shattered all over the ground, the car was starting to smoke. The firemen had the jaws of life on one of the doors, trying to pry it open. I could see Steph getting put in to a stretcher and in to an ambulance, my heart shattered at the scene in front of me. She was all bruised and had cuts everywhere, looked like she had a broken arm.
I turned back towards the car and saw Lucy, Sarah and Olivia in stretchers being rushed to there own ambulances.
I started to close my eyes, I'm in too much pain but a man told me to stay awake. That's all I heard before I blacked out.

I bet you guys weren't expecting that huh? Well it happened!!!
I didn't want to include it in the description of the book because I thought it would be a unexpected surprise.
I had heaps of ideas and I kept on changing my mind in how I'm going to write it and what's going to happen in it.
