Chapter 7 - the cliff

We arrived back at my place about 20 minutes ago. It was now 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
I was in my room getting ready for Lucy's sleepover/birthday party tomorrow. I was packing a bag when Steph said,

"So have you texted mike yet?"

"Nope, We just got home. Plus I'd sound desperate if I texted him 40 minutes after I last saw him. And I'm not interested in him in that way, he'd be more of a friend then a boyfriend." I simply stated.

I packed the essentials -toothbrush, brush, make-up, perfume and deodorant- and a few other things plus clothes and my phone charger.

"Well, I think he likes you."

"Nah, he's just a perv."

"Is not."

"Is so."

10 minutes past of us arguing about Mike when my phone went off with mikes name on the front.

Hey beautiful ;)

I smiled at the text message and put my phone down not bothering to reply to his cheesy message.

"Who was that?" Steph asked, curious as to who it is.

"Nobody." I replied, not wanting steph to know it was Mike.

20 hours later I was sitting in Lucy's entertainment room at her house along with Steph, Sarah, Olivia and herself wondering what the plans were for the day.
"It's your birthday, so you pick what you wanna do." Steph said, irritated that Lucy won't make up her mind.

"I don't know what I want to do!" She practically yelled back.

"Okay okay Jesus!! How about we go for a drive down to Newcastle?" Sarah put her idea in.

"Yes, we should do that and take all of your presents and open them on the cliff." I agreed with Sarah.

"Okay, let's do that. Just let me tell mum so she knows where we are going."

40 minutes later we are sitting on the cliff while Lucy opens her presents from all of us, like we planned.

"Thanks guys!!"

I got her the perfume chloè.
Steph got her the bracelets and earrings.
Sarah gave her 30 dollars.
Olivia got her a bottle of vodka

"How the hell did you manage to get a bottle of vodka?" Lucy asked stunned.

"I have my ways." She winked.

We all laughed and sat on the cliff watching the ships come in and out while drinking the vodka, having the time of our lives. Laughing at nothing but laughing at everything.

I was so happy, I never ever had friends like this. We were all equals, no leader, we always included one another in the things we do. My old friends pretty much abandoned me after my nan died, I was sad all the time and my old best friend found another and I got left out, I never got invited anywhere. They weren't good supporters. But when I moved here, I was sad at first but then I grew to love it. Steph, Lucy, Sarah and Olivia are the most awesomest friends I could ever have.

I looked at the girls now and this moment there's no place I'd rather be.
