The rest of the day passed by slowly since everyone was busy. I find something to watch that I haven’t seen before.
"Have you been laying there since I left?" Robbie asked, pausing in the doorway of the dark living room to look at me in surprise. "I left like, four hours ago."
"Well I haven't done anything else."
"You should have done something," he told me, shoving my legs over.
"Like what?"
"I don't know, something. Laying here for four hours is a long time to waste, El."
"I don't have anything else to do."
"Where's Mia? I thought she was here earlier."
"She's with Wes and El is with Lily. I don't really trust trying to go upstairs since I know what they're up to."
Robbie's nose scrunched up. "Right, great. Why did you come home from Chris' then?"
"I thought someone would be home."
"Sorry, El. I got to get to work and, well, everyone else is busy."
I sighed and stood up, running my fingers through my hair. "I need more friends," I mumbled. I walk into the kitchen. I made a sandwich and looked out the window, wondering what to do now. After eating I look through the fridge.
When I grew bored of looking for more food, I looked out the window, wondering what I could do. Its too cold to go outside.
Frustration started to well up, hating that I had nothing to do. I bite my lip. My eyes scanned the house opposite, wondering what he was doing now I was gone. I grab my phone and text him.
After a few minutes he replied and I bit my lip. He was doing nothing as well, did that mean I could talk to him? I tell him to come over. If we're both bored we should just be bored together.
When I looked out the window, Chris was standing on his porch and giving me a small smile. I motion for him to come over.
He disappeared then came back out a few moments later with something behind his back before walking across the gardens. "What you got there?" I asked when I opened the door to let him in.
"Nothing."
My eyebrows furrowed. "So what's behind your back?" He doesn't say anything. "Tell me," I pressed, frowning. "I want to know." He comes in and takes off his coat and shoes. "I should kick you back out for not telling me," I pointed out but moved aside to let him in before I shut the door. "Will you please tell me?" I ask.
"What do I get in return if I do?" He asked in return, settling down on the sofa with a grin.
"Depends on what it is."
"That's what you have to tell me," he pointed out, raising his eyebrow. "Tell me what I get in return then you can know."
"I'll make you dinner."
He pursed his lips. "You could do that anyway. Something else."
"What do you want?"
"Up to you," he told me, switching the TV on with a smirk.
"You're impossible."
"You love me," he teased but instantly frowned and looked away.
"Seriously, tell me what you want."
"Nothing, forget about it." He slid a box across the sofa to me before looking away again. I sit down and put the box on my lap, then open it. "I got it a while back," he told me, frowning. "I thought I might as well give it to you since we're friends."
