We arrived at the hospital and Christian was seen to straight away. Elliott goes with him since apparently he knows the most about him. My eyes stayed glued to the door I knew he was behind, waiting until I could see him; to see that he was okay.

After who knows how long, Elliott comes out and gets me.

"Is he okay?" I asked Elliott, stopping outside Christian's door. "Please tell me he's okay."

"He is and he really wants to see you." I nodded and pushed the door open. I almost crumbled when I saw him lying on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling with his steady heart beat filling the air.

"Ella.." he murmurs.

Before he could say anything else, I ran over to him and hugged him. "I can't believe you fainted on me," I said, chuckling but it sounded strangled. "Is my company that boring?"

He laughs lightly. "I'm sorry I didn’t tell you Ella."

"You should be," I murmured, shaking my head as I felt the tears spill over. "I didn't know what to do when I saw you lying there," I hiccupped.

"Hey," he wipes some of my tears away. "Please don’t cry."

"I can't help it!" I squeezed him in a hug. "I thought something bad happened to you... I thought-" I broke off when I small sob escaped my mouth.

"Shh," he rubs my back. "I'm okay."

I tried to nod but another small sob racked my body. "I'm sorry," I murmured. "Just thinking of you lying there..."

"Ella, I'm fine, I promise." I shifted so I had one leg either side of him and held his face between my hands, my eyes flicking between his. His hands hold my hips. "I'm fine and I want you to stop crying. I don't like seeing you upset."

I leant forward and kissed him. "As long as you're okay," I whispered, pulling myself closer to him.

He kisses me back and holds me. "I promise I'm okay." I bit my lip as my gaze flicked to his heart monitor, which was slowly starting to increase.

"I should probably get off you.." I move off his lap. I sat at the end of his bed and watched him as he shifted and avoided my gaze. My eyes trailed over him as his heart beat started to beep unevenly. "Are you okay?" I asked him, concerned, shifting forward and putting my hand on his thigh. His heartbeat gets faster and faster. "Christian?" I felt my eyebrows furrow as I moved closer to him. His heartbeat starts getting faster than before. I lifted his chin. "Chrissy?"

"Hm?"

"Something wrong?" I ask.

He shook his head quickly. "N-no, nothing's wrong."

"You stuttered." He made a noise in the back of throat as he pulled me closer to him, his lips claiming mine instantly. I smile against his lips and kiss him back with everything that I have. The sound of his heart beat met my ears, making me smirk and shift onto his lap. He groans and puts his hands on my hips once again.

"Mr. Woods is everything - oh my." I jumped off Christian's lap to see a nurse blinking at Chris. "I, uh, guess I can tell the other nurses I know why your heart monitor was going up." My face gets beat red and I get off the bed completely and go over to the window. Christian's face was red as he tried to calm his heart rate down. "I'll just, uh, go," the nurse said, shutting the door behind her. I don't look over at Christian or turn around for that matter.

"Sit next to me," Christian said quietly, making me turn and look at him to see him patting the spot next to him. "Please?" I walk over to the bed and sit next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my temple. "I'm sorry about that," he whispered.
