"Ellie," Elliott said quietly. "You have to wake up. The plane is going to land soon." I rub my eyes.
He shifted me back into my seat and put my seatbelt around me. I sniffed and looked up at him. "Why is it so hard?" I mumbled. "It hurts."
"I know." he kisses my temple and wraps his arms around me. I buried my face in his chest and squeezed my eyes shut. "Its okay." he rubs my back.
The plane landed and Elliott picked me up, which I was thankful for since I doubted I could walk along without breaking down in tears. I hold onto him tightly. At one point her shifts me so that my legs are around his waist.
I closed my eyes and rested my head against his shoulder. "I just want to sleep the months away," I told him, sniffing.
"You can't El, Justin wouldn't want you to be all upset."
"But it hurts," I mumbled. He kisses my shoulder and rubs my back.
At some point I fell asleep again and when I woke up, our house was in front of us. "Home sweet home," Elliott said quietly, kissing my forehead.
"I'm staying with you." I murmur.
"Of course," he whispered, walking upstairs and sitting down on his bed.
I lean into him, closing my eyes. "When does school start?"
"Not for another few days," he told me, shifting so he was lying on his back.
I nod and cuddle up to him. "Its going to be weird, Robbie and Wes won't be there anymore, they'll be in college." I say. "I'm going to miss them, senior year just won’t be the same without them."
"It'll definitely be weird," he murmured. "I wish they were closer as well."
I yawn. "I'm hungry."
"I'll get you something," he said, getting up. "I'm hungry myself. I'll be back in a moment." I watched him leave the room and shut the door behind him. I get up and go over to his laptop. I turn it on and go to his video chat. I call Justin on it.
A few minutes later a tired looking Justin appeared. "Hey," he murmured, rubbing his eyes and smiling.
"Hi." I smile. "Sorry I woke you up."
"It's fine," he said quietly, yawning but quickly covering it. "How was your flight?"
"Long, but I slept the whole time."
"That's good." He nodded and ran his fingers through his hair, which was sticking up every direction.
I smile and take a picture. "You look cute."
His eyebrows furrowed, making him look adorable. "I don't," he disagreed. "Where are you? That doesn't look like your type of bedroom."
"Yes you do." I smile. "In Elliott's room."
He rolled his eyes and smiled. "You never give up on that, do you? And, ah. Where's your brother now then?"
"Here," Elliott said, grinning over my shoulder at the webcam before going to the other side of the room to get something out of his drawer. "I'll be downstairs. Your sandwich is next to you."
I nod at my brother. "Okay, thanks El." I turn back to Justin.
Justin rested his head on his hand and grinned. I returned it easily and instantly felt better now that I could see him. "When do you go back to school?" I asked him.
"A week," he tells me.
I nodded my head and picked up half of my sandwich and broke a small bit off. "I might have to use you as my alarm clock," I told him, grinning. "When you get to school is when I probably need to wake up."
He chuckles. "Yeah, that's about right."
After smiling for a few moments, I felt it slowly slipping off my face. "This is going to be hard, Justin."
"I know love, but we can do it."
I took a deep breath and nodded. "I wish I could hug you right now," I mumbled, wiping under my eyes.
"Me too love."
I leaned back against the chair and bit my lip. "So..." I ran my fingers through my hair. "Do you want to go back to sleep?"
He shakes his head. "In a few minutes."
I pulled my hair up into a ponytail to get it out of my face before sighing. "I feel bad for keeping you awake."
"Its fine love, really." He smiles.
"We've been apart a few hours, and I already miss you like mad," I told him, shaking my head.
"I miss you too love. Its weird not holding you as I sleep."
I squeezed my eyes shut and rubbed my forehead. After a moment, I opened my eyes and looked directly at his image. "I don't want to even think about sleeping tonight without you."
He sighs. "Its hard."
"I want to hear your voice before I go to sleep," I told him quietly. "I've fallen asleep to your voice nearly every day since I met you again."
He smiles. "I love you Ellie."
I grinned. "I love you, too, Justy." He smiles and yawns. "Go to sleep," I told him, frowning. "I don't want you to be tired tomorrow."
"I miss you and love you Ellie." he says.
"I miss you and I'll love you always," I told him before switching the webcam off and sighing. I finish my sandwich and pull off my clothes, changing into pajamas. I walked into my room and laid down on my bed, determined not to cry.
Elliott comes into my room a few minutes later in his pajamas. he gets into my bed and pulls me close. "Night, Ellie," he said quietly before I drifted off to sleep.
I wake up still in my twin's arms. I shifted closer to him and buried my face in his chest. He rubs my back.
"Morning," he murmured. "Do you want to get up?"
"No."
"Then you don't want to talk to Justin?" he asked, raising his eyebrow. My eyes open and I sit up. Elliott got up and pushed my laptop screen wide open then clicked something on the screen. "Morning, Justin," he said cheerfully. "Your girlfriend looks like a mess but-"
"Elliott! Go!" I push him.
"That's how you treat your brother?" he called out as I shut the door and shook my head.
"Sorry about that," I said, sitting down on my desk chair and looking at the laptop screen.
"Its okay." he smiles.
I saw my image in the corner of the screen and my eyes widened. "I look like a mess!"
"You look fine."
I ducked my head and groaned. "I do not."
"Love, you're fine."
I stood up and got some clean clothes out. "Okay, I'm just going to change my clothes then."
"Okay." he smiles. I quickly pulled my top over my head and changed my shorts. He looks at me. I straightened my top once I pulled it off and sat back down, smiling at him. He grins. "Better?" he asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Yeah, definitely." I grinned and ran my fingers through my hair.
"I miss you, a lot."
"We can't even survive the day apart," he said, sighing. "Imagine a few months."
I sigh. "I know."
"We'll make it, El," he told me, nodding his head. I couldn't help but think he was trying to convince himself more than me.
"I'll see you in a few months."
He nodded his head. "You will."
