When I wake up, I hear my family downstairs and Christian is still here... My eyes widen and I quickly sit up, poking Christian's shoulder. "Wake up," I hissed, finally shoving him, making him topple off the bed.

"Ow! Damn Ella!"

"Shh!" I cover his mouth. "I'm sorry, Chrissy," I whispered. "I can hear my family downstairs!" He nods. I helped him up and frowned. "I didn't mean to push you off the bed, it's just... you wouldn't wake up," I said lamely, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"It’s okay Ella." he smiles softly.

I knelt on the bed and kissed him. "I wish you didn't have to go," I said quietly. "But I don't think my brother will be very happy knowing you're here."

He kisses me back. "I'll come back later tonight. Just call and tell me when."

"Okay," I murmured, leaning my forehead against his chest. "Thank you for staying with me today, Chrissy."

"It’s not a problem." He smiles and rubs my back. The sound of footsteps made us pull away. I kissed him once more before going over to the door and walking out my room, making the person halt in front of me. It’s Elliott.

"Hey," he said quietly. "Mum told me you were feeling unwell earlier, so you skipped."

"Yeah," I nod. "I feel better now, somewhat." He nodded his head slowly and looked over me. My eyes widen once I realized that he would have noticed if Christian wasn't in. How would he explain that to him? "What?" I ask him.

"Nothing," he muttered. "Mum told me to come and get you, she made cookies."

"Alright." I walk past him and go downstairs.

"How are you feeling, sweetie?" my mum asked, pushing my hair away from my face.

"Better," I said, shrugging, not really wanting to go into detail of how our next door neighbor had something to do with my happy attitude.

"You should take some aspirin to keep those cramps away." she tells me and I nod. I look to the living room and see Robbie walking in and making out with his girlfriend.

"Ew," I muttered, averting my eyes. My nose scrunched up as the mental image stayed in my head; not something I really wanted to see. I go over to the fridge and get a water bottle.

My mum gave me small plate of cookies and nudged me towards the kitchen door. "Go lay down, I don't want your cramps to get worse so you miss tomorrow," she told me, smiling. I smile softly and make my way to the couch. I switched the TV on, but my mind drifted to the boy next door. He's amazing, he stayed with me all day when he didn’t have to.

A smile curved on my lips as I thought of the 'surprise' he was going to give me. "What's got my baby sister smiling so much?" I look up and see Wesley. He raised his eyebrow and sat down next to me. "I haven't seen you smile this much in a while. What's going through your little head?"

"Nothing, really." I tell him. "Just thinking of the spring dance and how it'll be fun."

"Really? Who are you going with?" he asked, smiling.

"No one so far." I lie. His eyebrow raised and I could tell he didn't believe me but he didn't say anything more. "Who's your date?" I ask.

"Just some girl," he told me, shrugging.

"Oh, come on!" I pushed his shoulder. "You must like her if you asked her to the dance."

"It’s um... It’s your best friend..."

"W-what?" I looked at my older brother in surprise. "You asked my best friend to the dance? I didn't even know you two spoke to each other that often..."
