When I wake up in the morning, Elliott was wide awake and his fingers running through my hair. I keep close to him. I hate having that dream..
"You were talking in your sleep," he told me quietly. "I thought you were getting over it slowly."
"What'd I say?" I ask him.
"You were just saying his name, saying how much you dislike him and some things about Cam as well.
"What about Cam?" I asked, frowning. "What about Cam?" I ask again.
His eyebrows furrowed. "I couldn't really understand, but it was something about him being a great guy and..." he coughed and averted his eyes. "And he's a good kisser." I bite my lip. Wow is that embarrassing... Elliott snorted. "I can't wait to tell him that," he muttered, smirking at me. I felt a smile tug at my lips, he was trying to get us back to normal.
"You cannot tell him I said that!"
"Why not?" He raised his eyebrows. "Its something he'd love to know."
"You are not telling him that!"
With a smirk, he kissed my forehead and got up. "Better get dressed, don't want to be late."
I groan and get up. "Can we be a little late?" I ask him.
He paused and bit hi slip. "Okay, maybe a little," he said, wiggling his finger in front of my face.
"Yay." I smile.
He laughed and shook his head. "Get dressed. I'll make us some breakfast."
"Okay Elliott." I get out of bed and start getting ready. Once I'm showered and dressed, I went downstairs and sat down next to Elliott. He gives me the milk and I put it in the cereal he got for.me.
"Thank you." I smiled at him and started eating. When I had my last spoonful near my mouth, the doorbell rang. "Who's that?" I asked Elliott, who smiled and stood up. "Elliott who is it?"
When he walked back in, I was startled to see Cam standing there. "Good morning," he smiled at me.
"Morning." Okay...what is he doing here?
"Right. Love you," Elliott kissed my forehead. "I'll see you at school!" he called out before leaving the kitchen and soon after the front door shut.
I blinked up at Cam. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm taking you to school." He tells me.
"Oh." I nodded my head slowly. "Okay. Let's go then?" He paused in the hallway and looked down at me.
"What is it?"
"I'm just curious, why didn't El bring me?"
He shrugged and smiled. "I don't know. Maybe he wanted to make it on time to see his girlfriend?" He mumbled something else under his breath but I didn't hear him.
"What did you say?" I asked him, tugging on his hand to make him stop.
"Nothing." He says.
"No, you said something, please tell me."
He bit his lip and rubbed his thumb across my cheek. "I was just thinking about yesterday and what it means for today," he told me quietly.
I wrap my arms around him, hugging him. "We should talk about that, shouldn't we?"
"Yeah, we should," he murmured, resting his chin against my head and pulling me against him. I lean into him and rest my head on his chest. He kissed the top of my head softly before pulling away and giving me a small smile.
