Lani's pov:

Vinnie woke up before me. I was asleep until 10am. I turn 19 today. I still can't believe it. Made it this far in this shit world. At least I'm spending it with the guy I love so fucking much. I woke up and I saw Vinnie standing beside the bedside, holding a bag and a cup of ice coffee. He set them down real quick and pulled me up. "Happy birthday, baby. I love you so much. Thank you for coming into my life. You are all I ever wanted and more." he kissed me and I wrapped my arms around his neck. My vision was a little blurry but I hadn't noticed he was wearing the Hello Kitty onesie. The one from two years ago. He still has them. He let me go and handed me a bag. I looked inside and there was my Hello Kitty onesie. I was so close to crying because I haven't seen these onesies in ages.

"Shut up, I'm going to sob. You still have these. I-I thought I lost mine. You saved them?"
"Yeah, you left them at the house after you went home. I found them later on. I kept forgetting to give them to you. My mom sent them over here. Mine still fits on me! Go ahead and try yours on, baby." I smiled at him and jumped off the bed, the onesie in my arm. I changed into it and exited, the hoodie on my head and I posed for him. 
"You look so hot in there. Insanely swag." he smiled at me. God that smile, it makes me melt inside. It's like my fucking life support I swear. He got out his phone and grabbed me by my waistband. I raised an eyebrow at him and kissed his cheek. He's still so much taller than me. He took a photo of us in our onesies. The caption was "they still fit on us!" 
"Hey, I don't wanna do anything big for today but brunch? And can we go in our onesies, please?" I batted my eyes at him and he agreed. I jumped up and nearly tripped but he caught me.

Vinnie's pov:

I got Lani a surprise. Two actually. She's going to love it. But that's for later tonight. She put on light make up, grabbed her bag, and then we walked out the front door. We got into my car and we drove down to Malibu to go to this beach cafe. I ordered pancakes, bacon, eggs, and a milkshake. She got strawberry crepes and a smoothie. We watched the ocean move swiftly as we ate. After we finished, I paid for it and we walked on the beach. I ran back up to the car to grab her extra clothes. She is always prepared. She even has a swimsuit and towel in that bag. She wanted to swim but I didn't bring extra clothes so we couldn't. She was a little bit sad but I know she'd be happy later on.

Later at 9pm..

I just picked up Lani's surprises. I texted her that I had a surprise for her. I told her to wait in her room and when I knock, close her eyes. I got home and walked inside. I held the first gift in my left hand and the other in my pocket. I knocked on her room door and I heard her squeal.

"I'm coming in, baby. Close your eyes! No peeking." I slowly opened the door and placed the first gift on her lap. 
"Open them." I smiled at her as a small puppy crawled around her lap and she gasped loudly.
"SHUT UP. YOU'RE JOKING!"
"I am indeed not joking."
"IT'S MINE? IS IT A BOY OR GIRL-" she picked it up and checked. "IT'S A GIRL!"
"Yes I know." I chuckled at her excitement. She's always wanted a puppy. 
"I fucking love you, oh my god. Thank you, baby. I love you so much, so so much." she held the puppy like a baby and got up. She came over to hug me.
"I love you so much more. Aaandddd there's one more surprise." I got a small ring box from my pocket.
"Shut. Up. Vinnie!"
"It's not an engagement ring. But it is a promise ring. I promise that I will always be here for you. Always, okay? I love you with my whole being. I hope that every life I live, I find your soul. I will love you in every single life I live. I promise you that. Every fucking time I see you, my heart glows. My entire life would've gone to shit if I hadn't met you. You helped me. You protect me like I do to you. I had a hard time deciding what ring you wanted. It was either a small diamond ring or a rose quartz ring. But I did research that the rose quartz stone is good for love. So I got the rose quartz- Sorry I'm rambling. Do you accept it?" I looked down at her, holding the puppy. 

Tears ran down her cheeks and I wiped them off. She nodded and I hugged her. I put the ring on her left ring finger. She put the puppy on her bed and she jumped into my arms. I kissed her generously and a few tears left my eyes as well. This girl. She is all that I have ever wanted. I put her down and stared at the puppy sleeping on her bed. 

"What do you plan on naming her, Lani?" I questioned, wiping her tears and mine. She picked her up again and I pulled her close to me. 
"What about Buttercup?" she looked up at me. I smiled at her and nodded.
"Buttercup Hacker- Cyr. Your name deserves the best spot, baby. I love you. And I cannot stop saying it because I do. I really fucking do." I hugged her and Buttercup climbed my shoulder.

I kissed Lani one more time and we went into the living room to play with Buttercup.
