Song is Soldiers by Otherwise.
I am sorry that it has been so long since I've updated this book. I will try to change that in the future. I will do my best to keep it similar to the movies, but it has been a long time since I have seen them, so it may not be as accurate. Plus, Padfoot's presence will change some things. I hope y'all enjoy this next chapter!

Sirius' POV
Early the next morning, the entire armies of the Elves and Men were gathered at the gates of Erebor. I was towards the back with Gandalf, but I was still able to see the Mountain clearly. It was quite a beautiful sight. At the top of the huge doors, a makeshift rampart of sorts had been constructed. On this lookout were the dwarves. They were all dressed in fine suits of armor, and carried fine weapons. But their expressions bespoke of grief and hardship. I sensed that this was not what they wanted.

Thorin, on the other hand, looked different. He was wearing the finest armor, and a crown was on his head. He looked rather angrily at the two armies below him. There was a sword on his back, and a bow in his hand. When Thranduil, astride his elk, and Bard, astride a white horse, rode a little closer to the gate than their armies, Thorin drew out an arrow, and shot the ground in front of the pair. They immediately pulled to a halt, and Thorin began to speak.

"I will put the next one between your eyes," he said menacingly.

The other dwarves yelled out battle cries in response. Thranduil gave a brief nod, and the other Elves drew their bows in unison. All of the dwarves except for Thorin hid behind the wall. Thranduil gave another nod, and the Elves sheathed their arrows. He began to speak.

"We've come to tell you, that payment of your debt has been offered. And accepted," he called up.

"What payment?" Thorin spat. "I gave you nothing. You have nothing."

Thranduil turned to Bard, and gave him the signal. Bard drew the Arkenstone out of his coat pocket.

Thorin nearly let the bow slip from his hands in shock. The other dwarves began to get angry.

"They have the Arkenstone," I heard Kili say. "Thieves! How came you by the heirloom of our house?! That Stone belongs to the King!"

"And the king may have it," Bard began. "And our good will." He pocketed the Stone again. I noticed that Thorin's face became quite murderous. Bard looked up at him.

"But first, he must honor his word."

I saw a mad look begin to come over Thorin's expression. It was a madness like nothing I had ever seen, even in Azkaban. I saw him whisper something to his fellow dwarves.

"The Arkenstone is in this Mountain! It is a trick!" he yelled out.

And then he turned away suddenly, as someone must have said something to change his mind. My heart stopped as I recognized a small figure. It was Bilbo. He must have just told Thorin that he was the one who gave us the Stone. I saw the look of shock and betrayal on Thorin's face, and had a feeling that this would not end well. I saw that Thranduil and Bard were both looking a little concerned. Gandalf, still standing next to me, tightened his grip on his staff.

"Throw him from the rampart!" Thorin commanded. Not one of the dwarves moved to obey him, likely still in shock.

"Did you not hear me?!" he yelled, grabbing Fili's arm. Fili pulled away from him in horror. "I will do it myself! Curse you, and all the halflings!" Thorin yelled, pulling the poor hobbit towards the wall. The other dwarves tried to stop him, to no avail. "Cursed be the wizard who forced you on this Company!" He threw him against the ledge, and was about to push him off. Gandalf finally made his move. Gesturing for me to follow him, he marched towards the front, using his staff to project his voice louder.

"IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY BURGLAR, then please, don't damage him. Return him to me!" Gandalf boomed.

Thorin was once again surprised by the sight of the wizard. Thankfully, he had enough sense to allow a shaken Bilbo to slip out from under him. The other dwarves gave him a rope, which he quickly shimmied down. He approached us at the front, and I began to sniff him, making sure that he was alright.

"I'm fine, thanks Padfoot," he whispered to me.

"Never again will I have dealings with wizards! Or Shire rats!" Thorin yelled out madly.

Gandalf did his best to reason with him, but he was too angry.

"Are we resolved then?" Bard spoke. "The return of the Arkenstone for what was promised?"

"Answer us!" Bard urged again, when Thorin did not respond. "Will you have peace or war?"

It seemed as though he was about to answer, when something strange happened. A huge black raven landed on the rampart next to Thorin. It obviously meant something to him, because he immediately replied, looking towards the horizon,

"I will have war."

At that moment, the dust began to rise. I could see an army in the distance. An army of dwarves. They were led by an angry looking dwarf with hair and a beard redder than the Weasleys. He was riding a war hog.

Dain Ironfoot had come.

Sorry to leave it on a cliffhanger, but if I hadn't then the chapter would probably go on forever. I hope y'all enjoy it! I will try to update again soon, but it will be difficult. My family and I are leaving in a few days to go on vacation. I will also be starting an online summer class soon. I will do my best to update within the next week or so, but no promises.
